Scott himself said that Wii U will be obsolete due to NX by the time these console versions would be done. Would've been perfect though, just a year or two too late.

I guess worth mentioning is also that a "year or two too late" means he would've had to make the games on Wii U to begin with, as the series is only 2 years old. So to say, a Wii U version was never a thing that could have happened.

I'll give him some credit. I find that one a lot more terrifying than the "skeleton with lots of teeth" approach.
