RE: The Free Gaming Thread v3: Check Out Cosmyk's Mustache - gamemaster1991 - 10-11-2017 Well I found out I'm stupid. Preordered Sonic Forces a week ago when I saw that the game was coming out October 7. I've been waiting for Amazon to send me an email saying they shiped it. It wasn't until a few hours ago that I relised that I have seen no one playing or talking about this game. That's when I checked my order and found out that it ships NOVEMBER 7. I can see how I made the mistake and I got a few laughs from my family when I told them. At lest I know that my Garo preorder will be here in a week. RE: The Free Gaming Thread v3: Check Out Cosmyk's Mustache - retrolinkx - 10-30-2017 After all this time you can finally play Sega Saturn games off an SD card on your console. Fan translations included. Pretty neat. I had a Mega Drive Model 2 set up in the living room for whenever I want to play it, along with other consoles. It's being fed into a three way scart splitter, which is being fed into the TV. I recently found my Saturn Model 1, and noticed it had a Disk Drive error, I decided to open it up and fix it today, and went to check on the error again. I plugged the Saturn in and connected it to the scart splitter. I forgot to bring a controller and went upstairs to find one. A few moments later I heard Outrun music coming from the TV. Confused, I noticed that the Mega Drive was on, and must've been on for a few hours since I was recently playing Outrun on it. Due to the nature of the scart splitter, if two consoles were on at the same time, they would fight each other for video output and you'll usually get a mess of the two on screen along with both of their audio. When I tried to turn the console off, it wouldn't turn off. I clicked the power button multiple time and even taking out the power supply wouldn't stop it from playing. When I turned the Saturn off, the Mega Drive turned off as well. I turned the Saturn back on, and the Mega Drive turned on with it, without the power supply in the console. I wanted to see if the Mega Drive could play the game, and mashed Start a few times to get it to play, and surprisingly it did. I couldn't see anything on screen, but I could hear the game running. I have no idea how this is happening, but somehow the Mega Drive is being powered through it's AV cable from the Saturn. Does anyone know why this might occur? Both power cables are connected to the same power extension if that helps. I also tested this out using a Model 1 MD with another Scart cable, but this one wouldn't power on. I have no idea how or why it was working like that and we eventually just took the Genesis off and made sure it was not hooked up with anything else at the same time. It was really bizarre, no idea how or why it can do that. RE: The Free Gaming Thread v3: Check Out Cosmyk's Mustache - The Antagonist - 11-12-2017 Wanted to play Gears of War 4 this weekend since I haven't played in a while. About 40 GB of update. Well screw it i'll go to Battlefield 1. 20 GB update. What the hell man? RE: The Free Gaming Thread v3: Check Out Cosmyk's Mustache - Berry - 11-13-2017 Played Doom for the first time on my Switch. RE: The Free Gaming Thread v3: Check Out Cosmyk's Mustache - ZpaceJ0ck0 - 11-17-2017 'Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater' was released 13 years ago. I know I'm four days late to the party but Contra 4 for the Nintendo DS was released 10 years ago. Welcome to gaming 2017 RE: The Free Gaming Thread v3: Check Out Cosmyk's Mustache - retrolinkx - 11-23-2017 So, I've always found that Microsoft have always been quite a technology friendly company and it makes sense, if you connect an Xbox One controller to a PC, it'd install a driver and then you'd be set after a few seconds. It'd work like that easily. So, I thought I'd try and use my Xbox One controller on my tablet/phone, both times it wouldn't be able to read it and I'd be stuck without a controller to use. It wasn't a big deal since I don't play much on my tablet and stuff, but I would've liked to have the offer. So eventually I was talking to people about trying to buy an Xbox One S controller to use for bluetooth, and people were just telling me to use a DS4 controller. Sony have always been kind of iffy with other tech, so I just assumed that it wouldn't work from the beginning. I connected it to my tablet using an OTG cable, and it worked instantly. With two emulators as well, the SNES and the N64 emulator. There is little input lag, but apart from that it works wonders. Honestly surprised with Sony here, they're usually the ones to not try and have connectivity with other pieces of tech, but here it is working perfectly on a Kindle Fire. RE: The Free Gaming Thread v3: Check Out Cosmyk's Mustache - The Antagonist - 11-23-2017 Has anyone played Batman Arkham Knight on PC recently? Does it work fine now? I bought it on steam last year or so and made a refund since it was unplayable. I want to give it another chance. Maybe the PC specs are important for this game. Then again, I play Witcher 3 on High-Ultra and no problem with it. RE: The Free Gaming Thread v3: Check Out Cosmyk's Mustache - Psychospacecow - 11-23-2017 The reason Xbox controller work well on PC is because of Games For Windows Live bringing in a bit of an initiative to make PC more console accessible with shared achievements and such. They're doing it now under a different label, that being just XBOX as a gaming platform as opposed to a console one. I wouldn't touch Arkham Knight. Last I heard, it was still a bit of a dumpster fire on PC. |
