RE: The Legend of Zelda - CLXcool - 02-21-2015 The first Zelda game turns 29 years old today. RE: The Legend of Zelda - Boyobmas - 02-23-2015 Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma apparently plays Far Cry 4, among other things, in his free time. RE: The Legend of Zelda - Kakariko Kid - 03-14-2015 http://www.zeldainformer.com/news/speedrunner-skater82297-sets-new-oot-world-record-currently-streaming-for-e#.VQQupBmsHqA A new speed record has been set through use of glitches RE: The Legend of Zelda - JiraiyaSennin - 03-14-2015 I've seen this happen over the past few months with Super Mario World records and now this new record, where I see people complaining about speedrunning and how it's not really beating the game, because you used a glitch or somehow skipped something in the game. It's not just complaining either, some people get absolutely upset about it and go on rants about how these people aren't "real gamers" and just having zero understanding of how speedrunning works. With my rant over congrats to the guy for beating the record by quite a bit of time. The way I see it is that a speedrunner should play the game just to get to the end as fast as they can. To use a glitch to phase though the wall seems like cheating the sestem. I get it that there are shortcut and easy ways to get though the game but most of them were put there by the devlopers or were acidental oversights. Theres a diffrance between jumping over a ramp in a raceing game, using the super cape in Mario World, or whatever you do in Super Metroid to get a faster time and using a glitch to get to the end of Mario 64 with 0 stars in 5 secends. To me, this is not fun. I'd rather see someone use Star Roud to get to Bowser in Mario World then see someone glitch though the stairs to get to Ganon in A Link to the Past. You might as well put in a Space jump, God mode, or a level select in the cheat menu just to get to the end of the game. It's about the same thing. RE: The Legend of Zelda - CLXcool - 03-23-2015 http://nerdist.com/nintendo-ceo-denies-reports-of-legend-of-zelda-netflix-series/ Damn it. I had a feeling this was the case, but I was looking forward to this. RE: The Legend of Zelda - JiraiyaSennin - 03-24-2015 I'm really surprised that anyone thought that rumor held any water. I knew it was just a rumor when it was first talked about. If Nintendo was going to do something as grand as that, they would have made a much bigger deal about it, plus neither Netflix nor Nintendo had anything to say about it in the first place. Even though it was a rumor, I'm still glad it's not happening. The concept of a live action Zelda just doesn't sit right with me, especially because Link never speaks. RE: The Legend of Zelda - CLXcool - 03-24-2015 I'd settle for a new Zelda cartoon. If they can make in the veins of Samurai Jack while taking the story of the games. RE: The Legend of Zelda - Mass Distraction - 03-26-2015 Press A to grab your destiny. RE: The Legend of Zelda - CLXcool - 03-26-2015 ^I never thought i'd live to see someone turn the old man from Zelda into Freddy mercury in one shot. Also, the 'its dangerous to go alone take this' part of the video is well drawn. Almost felt like a sequence from Fantasia. RE: The Legend of Zelda - CLXcool - 03-26-2015 Link could have avoided it if he grabbed a hooker from vice city and threw it in the limo with the old man. I think the old man was only into him, though. RE: The Legend of Zelda - CLXcool - 03-28-2015 Zelda Wii U has been delayed ladies and gentlemen. |
