I just wanted to give you crap for your confusion. Glad to know you were thinking of me ;D

TOMORROW:

Please don't tell me that nobody here got the joke/watched the show.

RE: The Chit-Chat Thread v3: Electric Potpourri - Kakariko Kid - 08-20-2017

I didn't watch the show, but I assume it has something to do with the total solar eclipse. The county I live in is in the path to see it and many factories and businesses shut down for it.

My older daughter will be staying home with me and we have plans to eat a lot of noodles, paint rocks for her to hide (some kind of trend I've heard about but don't understand), and we might order a pizza just to see how long it takes for it to be delivered. Okay, maybe not the last one because that's just wrong considering the 50,000 visitors to see the eclipse. Her idea, not mine.

Yup, the show starts because a group of people developed superpowers due to a total solar eclipse.

The joke here is that I'm impliying the same will happen in real life (time stop or flight for me, please).

My opinion on tweet #1

I think it makes sense ´cause white people are pretty much anywhere and protect it all is pretty much impossible.I
don´t think that Jon is racist or something.

My opinion on tweet #2

Jon mentions both sites of colonisation.

+
We were aware of existence of other ¨worlds..

-
Their culture got interrupted.

We dealt with them like something less.

And i could talk a sh*t-ton more.

I don´t want to make someone offended nor start a flame war.

So I needed to go the uni today to discuss some academic issues with the help center. For some reason my body wouldn't let me sleep so I decided to just stay up and sleep at a later time.

So I woke up at 2pm, and it was around 3am I decided this. I would go to uni at 10am, and have a meeting, get my questions answered and deal with everything by around 12pm, and then go home and sleep at 5pm or so. So I'm forcing myself to stay awake and then I have to walk to 30 minutes to uni in the 24 degree weather only to discover that they're closed and it's a bank holiday today.

So I walked all the way back home in the same weather, tired and sweating like a pig. I still need to go there tomorrow and get some advice.

Today was not my day.

RE: The Chit-Chat Thread v3: Electric Potpourri - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 08-30-2017

I've been training all summer for this -- tomorrow, I'll be attempting my first ever marathon !
Got my gear ready, water and food packed, course laid out and input into my iPad.

Now I just need to put one foot in front of the other a sufficient amount of times to get me to the finish.
I've been running the equivalent of between one and one-and-a-half marathons a week since early July, and I'm feeling good about my chances of making it !
See you all tomorrow at the finish :)

RE: The Chit-Chat Thread v3: Electric Potpourri - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 08-31-2017

I did it !
Spent the rest of the day convalescing on the sofa drinking litres and litres of water, and I'll be feeling it tomorrow, but I did it !

RE: The Chit-Chat Thread v3: Electric Potpourri - retrolinkx - 09-02-2017

I noticed that both my hard drives in my computer were reaching their capacity, one is a normal Hard Drive and the other was an SSD with 1Tb and 120gb of space respectively.

The SSD had around 2gb of free space and the HD had around 22gb. So I deleted a lot of OW clips and such from the HD are saved around 200gb of space from deleting useless stuff, as for the other drive I deleted what I thought was taking up a lot of space (Downloads mostly) but was only at around 5gb free space after all of this.

So I decided to check what was taking up space and went directly into the HD to see what was there, and lo' and fucking behold MATLAB a program I haven't used for months was taking up 7.71 GB of space right under my nose, man what an annoyance.

^

I'll install it again when I need it, because right now it was taking up useless space on my drive.

Don't you just hate when you're trying to sort out your music to make sure little bits of information or the album cover are juuuuust right, but end up listening to tracks and thus can't edit them or lose your place or what you were editing?

Plus I keep procrastinating.
