Thank you!

Yeah, unfortunately Tharja sold out pretty fast. If you keep an eye on the used section on AmiAmi she sometimes pops up for a good price. Just keep in mind that her name is Sallya in the Japanese version so she'll show up as that.

That Sam And Max figure is awesome on the first page of this thread.

It was actually really cheap as well when it was available! I got one of the last ones in stock and I'm so glad I did. The pieces are hollow and stack, so it will wobble, but if it's at a place where no one's going to bump it it's fine.

RE: Collections - Hexadecimal - 07-06-2014

Opened up a figure today and freaked when her head came flying off. Turns out it was just loose and is able to be put back on just fine.

Why can the head come off? Well... To take off her top if you want. She was not listed as a cast off and I'm a tad disturbed due to how young she is.

One of my favourite figure in my "Video game / Anime / Manga / Stuff Collection"!

You guys want to see more of what I have? 90% of them are Pokemon stuff though because me and my girlfriend are doing attic sales sometimes, so we buy old stuff there when we see them. Like a fake Lapras.

The first figure I bought was broken, I wanted it since so many years, waited for so many years. Only to find out that I had to make a choice: I remove the skirt or not before gluing down everything back to normal. What a dilemma right?

Why are you even asking? Of course we do! Show us everything.

RE: Collections - Pewable - 07-08-2014

I have no idea why I asked! I will take pictures when I can then, because I can't really do it now.

And amazing figures Hexadecimal! I don't buy new figures anymore so that I can buy video games sometimes instead... I try to buy at least one per year, after my birthday of something.

RE: Collections - Tobu_ - 07-11-2014

I got a collection of games, like a normal person,Then a few steps away a Movies collection, seconds away is random game items and things. Non-Disc Related stuff is mangas,Most mangas are game related, infact theres only 1 series I have that isn't game related, the mangas are Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Mangas,Megaman Mangas, and the Non-Game one,Soul Eater. That's basically all the collections I have.

RE: Collections - Hexadecimal - 07-27-2014

Thanks to a user on MFC adding them to the database, I was so happy that the two Sorcerer Hunter garage kits I thought were awesome were actually made into cold cast figures! She was kind enough to link to an auction that had Chocolate, so getting her was really easy!

I'm not too happy about whatever got on her hat, but that'll be an easy cover up. What scares me more is I'll have to figure out what I want to do about the fact she seems to be slowly leaning further and further back due to how the weight is. Chocolate doesn't seem to be in danger of toppling over now, but I really think it will be a problem in the future.

What really sucked was that in the seller's description for Chocolate the mentioned that they thought they had Tira as well. That ended up to not be the case. As much as I feared only ending up with one part of the pair due to how rare these seems to be, I just got Chocolate anyway.

I checked eBay everyday and also decided to keep a look out on Yahoo Japan Auctions, even though the proxy and shipping fees would kill me. I did find a Tira on YJA, but she was damaged. No way would I consider that.

Then, out of desperation, I decided to type the Engrish on the box into the eBay search engine. It actually worked. Here's the box, in case you're curious. I assume it says somewhere which girl you're getting, but otherwise their boxes are exactly the same:

Now the problem was that the auction that popped up listed both girls in the title, but had only one item. I read through all the drivel the seller typed about themselves and how they'd acquired some anime merchandise they knew nothing about (lucky!) while I 'm just sitting there going
[Image: 101620-seven-whats-in-the-box-gif-img-TVUq.gif]

Finally I reached the end to read "the box shows both girls but the only one inside is the one without the hat".

YEEEEEESSSS!

But then there was another problem... They had her listed as $150... But there was a best offer! ...But four other people had tried and been turned down. ...I tried anyway... AND MY OFFER WAS ACCEPTED THE SAME NIGHT!

I noticed there's what feels like dried glue on her whip, so I think it may have been attached to her body at one point, but otherwise Tira's great. I had a bit of a hard time getting her into the base, and she still sticks out a little, but it's OK.

These were my first coldcast figures, so I was pretty scared how they'd fair during shipping. Thank goodness they made it one piece! I just love them! It was pure agony until I lucked out and found Tira to accompany her sister.

Their Mini-Mes are happy to have them as well!

^Cool story, Sis. I always find the figures you find so cool.

The one thing that bothers me is the one with the hat. I don't know why, but I would have thought they would have done a better job censoring...... "parts" of her. As a guy I don't mind, but as a person who knows media, it seems off.

Remember that this Japan. Their rules of media might differ compared to Western rules of media.

@Hex - I'm always amazed at how lucky you get when it comes to acquiring figures like that. Seriously, you should make a career out of location and acquisition of things. Without the whole breaking the law that sentence pretty much implied. There are collectors out there who probably pay really good money for that type of work. Look at the guys from American Pickers. Only I'd suggest doing it via internet as some of the people they meet on that show are always questionable.

RE: Collections - Mass Distraction - 07-28-2014

Here's a random picture of every single gaming magazine and cheat/guidebook I've ever bought.

The only things not on there are my two Pokémon SoulSilver & HeartGold guides and this super huge PS1 cheat/guidebook from 1999. Also worth noting is that this is just gaming magazines. Computer magazines are... somewhere. No idea, actually.

RE: Collections - Zaliphone - 07-28-2014

I finally got around to rearranging some of my shelves, moving around some books and stuff, and taking pictures.

My (painfully incomplete) Nintendo Power Subscriber edition collection and Red Rooster Hat.
My One Piece comics and strange object with an unknown origin.
Some of my favorite books, though I haven't started Masters of Doom yet, and the 2013 Club Nintendo calendar.
And finally my Walking Dead comics and the first issue of Y: The Last Man. I really need to get the other nine of those.

RE: Collections - Mass Distraction - 07-29-2014

Hnnnnngh.... I hate it that the second collected edition of Walking Dead has run out of print here. You can get the first and every single other one after the second but not the actual second one.

RE: Collections - Pewable - 08-06-2014

Asking it here because I think you guys can help and well, part of my collection, and I can't find something on Google.

Do you know why it happened? There are a lot of brownish stains on it, and I don't know why! Like if it burned or something.

I don't think I washed it under the water/used something on it...

While I am at it, some Pokemon:

Wow the quality is so bad, I will take a better picture of it later.
