I don't tend to care for MLP, but I'm not really an astro boy fan either but it has had at least one good game, so maybe this will work. If anyone could make it work, it would be wayforward. I suppose it's worth looking into.

If they do make this, I think it would be a good idea if they made a "Very Easy" mode so that the little kids can play at their leisure. Basically, you can't die no matter what. If an enemy touches you, you just get knocked back. Pits could be covered up or the character could respawn right by the pit if they fell into it. And most importantly, no time limits.

What, like the new Kirby games? Maybe infinite lives, but I wouldn't lobotomize the game on easier difficulties.

But kids today are a completely different animal. Way too accustomed to games that can be completed by doing practically nothing.

This is the period in their life where everything changes how their brain will grow and be made. If its all easy to the point of stupidity, then guess what.

If I ever have kids, I'm gonna make them start from the beginnings with games like Super Mario Bros and other NES classics. Or, well, at least the few that I have. Then move onto my massive library of Amiga games.
