$160 K actually sounds quite high to me, but I live so far in the middle of nowhere home prices are much cheaper than that normally.
Yeah, the price is a bit high, but it's pretty good for the area. It's funny because if you go right out of the city prices drop to below $100k pretty fast, even into the 60s, but the weather in winter is pretty terrible, and if you don't live in the city you're not going to work some days, so I'd rather just live here and... You know, be able to afford my mortgage.

Also the area is just lovely.
^ Shoot... I was going to suggest haggling with the price, but if it's as nice as you say, I'm guessing someone will eventually come along and snag it for what they're asking. Do you know if it's been up for sale long?
I don't know how long it's been up, but it looks like the owners are still living there, so I guess not too long? I could probably get them to come down on the price a bit, but considering that other houses in that neighborhood sell for upwards of $200k...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!

IT'S my 200th post! Where's my cake!?!

Don't tell me you forgot the cake...

This sweet confection is all but an overhyped myth, isn't it?!?

You thought I was going to be a cheap and say "The Cake is a lie", didn't you?
Wait... I just said it.

Here's your cake! 1 candle for each 40 posts :D

Is it for sale by owner? If not, check the site of the realty company on the sign for it. Usually it will when the house has been listed. If it's been up for a good while now you can use it to your advantage.

Wait... I just said it.

I forgot the cake, but I have some leftover sour punch straws and half a can of hard cider left.
It's being sold through a realty company (trust me, I've looked!) and it didn't say the listing date. At least not anywhere I could see easily... The website isn't that good, but it did have pictures of the interior and it is just to die for.
Speaking of cake, has anyone tried this new cool whip cake frosting? It's like the gold of diamond of frosting.

Careful about that. Everything on a mcdonalds menu looks good on the picture.

Awww, that bites! I've been house hunting as well and the sites I've been browsing have had dates. I hope your site isn't as deceiving as mine. One house I did a walk through on looked spectacular in the photos but was actually a total pit.

It isn't as thick as most frostings and it's so damn sweet.

That's kind of stretching the definition of "good".

I'm not worried about that. I saw the house in person (At least from the outside) before I even looked it up and it's beautiful. I can only imagine that the inside is at least as good as the pictures lead me to believe. I'm kind of a photography nerd so I can sort of spot the tricks, so short of taking pictures of another building, this seems legit.

The thing is, though, I wasn't actually looked to buy a house. I'm kind of content renting right now because I'm planning to go back to school in August. It's a nice dream, but only that. If my plans work out though, by next summer I should have landed a job at an awesome company that hires tonnes of students from the university I plan on going to, and if that house is still on the market, maybe then...
