I'm not sure if this can considered to be within the realm of possibility but what about having a random trivia display box on the front page?

Like a news prompter, a random piece of trivia could be displayed to read from any game, series, developer or console that's been posted on the site. The trivia plus the title of the game/series/developer/console can appear plus its accompanied image, if any. Of course the trivia text may be a bit long so it could cut off at a point followed by saying "Read more ...". Everytime you refresh the page, a different random piece of trivia could be displayed. The box or banner could sit at the top of the front page for everyone to see between the new videos and recent updates.

So my suggestion is a leader board of submissions so we can see who contributes the most.

This should be possible and is something I'll consider adding at some point.

See i didn't even know that existed so maybe like a top 5 on homepage or a link to the full leader board?

I don't think there's really a need. It's not exactly critical information and it is already easily accessible from the drop down menu for About at the top of every page.
