Wha... what forum is this?

It's VGfacts Arjahn.

Is this real life?

10/10 waiting for GOTY edition.
So, an old school I went to has decided to remove a picture of Jesus permanently after a court order. It's just really funny that it made national news, because it's a town of 7,000 people.

The people that original donated the picture, back when they were students at the school, have since died of old age. It's been there that long, people.

The picture was hung in an UNUSED hallway. I was in the school many times and never even knew it was hung up anywhere. I've heard the same thing who went to the school over 50 years ago. None of us knew it existed.

It's just kinda funny that it blew up so much and cost thousands of dollars in court battles. In retrospect, the group that originally complained really blew up the issue. Sure, it was hanging up, but in an area that none of the students even saw or noticed it. And then the local schools blew up the issue, by arguing that removing the picture was a destruction of free speech.
Crazy world.
I'm not sure what is more surprising. That someone complained about a picture of Jesus that no one could have seen and (most likely) no one has seen in 50 years (give or take) or that the school lost a court case about said picture.
Here's what the situation turned out like:

You know, I wish people could be nice to each other all the time and solve stuff civilly. Like cats do...
Never Mind.
Wow. That's such crap over that picture. I don't care if you're not religious; it's artwork that's just sitting there and not trying to force you to convert like those darn persistent Jehovah's Witnesses. It's because people are so oversensitive like that nowadays that nothing biblical is even allowed is kids stuff anymore. Back in my day we had religious stories and demons but now all that's censored.

And in other news I'm going to make an offer on that house I want on Monday and, if it's accepted, my mom and I will be putting this stupid trailer up for sale.
Its not so much sensitivity as people realizing that they get leverage over others through "offense".
I hear that they are closing the Sistine Chapel because it might offend people. You know what happened when someone tried to look at the chapel early? Michelangelo put him into the painting as a demon. When did we stop doing this and start saying "Please take that down. It offends me."? I think the next time Jehovah's Witnesses come to my door, I'm going to say "Can you please go away? You are offending my religion and I do not like it."

Man, I want this to be a new comic. I would buy the paper everyday if it was. Alternatively, I would go to the website, buy a collection book, or anything else that includes it. I am a big Calvin and Hobbes if you couldn't tell.
Please tell me there is more to that comic! I love Calvin and Hobbes. Back when I was a kid I went to the local library and read all the albums they had soooooooooo many times. Even bought a couple collected editions myself when I had read the ones in the library for the gazillionth time.

Also, I love the fact that the girl's name is Bacon.
I have 9 Calvin and Hobbes books, and I love them all. I want the complete collection so bad.
