Youtube but not the videos
#16
Youtube used to mean something to everyone. Now its a complete joke with never ending uncalled for upgrades. For everytime I get offered the 'google +' option whenever I'm watching a video on youtube. I have said no to the upgrade to youtube countless times. They don't even listen.

The fact that they even removed video responses makes me want to burst into the company and demand who was the idiot that thought it was a good idea to remove that option. I managed to get my channel back to normal from that google plus page that they made for me. But all I can say is this. Youtube and google are making a grave mistake with this. You can't force someone into doing something they don't want to be part of. This is one of them where the being is saying no while the person behind the choice is having their head up their ass.

YouTube Wrote:Most comment notifications will now be delivered by Google+ and not to your inbox.

Oh wow. I have to use my Google+ account to see if people have left me a comment?

Let me be the first one to brake up the negative stuff with a good point. I like how the comment section allows us more room to write what we want. The Idea Channel allows the viewers to comment on the week's topic. I have so many ideas that about the topic that I normally can't put them all down. Let me also say that the coments are out of order going from 5 minetes ago to 18 hours ago to 2 hours ago to 2 minites ago. One step forward but 4 steps off the cliff.

I can answer that one. The comments are now sectioned by default top comments. You have to click "Newest Comments" for it to show them in order. It's cool, but really stupid. In my opinion, at least.

Now that that's said, I've migrated to watching YouTube only on the PS3, because of all of these changes recently. But now every time I scroll through my subscription box, it's just a lot of bump noises, which gets annoying. So although my complaint is different, It's still relevant?

They did remove the comment character limit, and to quote one top comment:
Quote: I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE NO WORD LIMIT. IT MAKES THIS AN AMAZING LITTLE PARTY IN EVERY COMMENT. WHO WANTS TO READ BRAVEHEART? *posts all of Braveheart*

Youtube went downhill after 2007.

Seriously, look up how youtube looked in 2007, it was a site full of interesting, videos, ranging from Guru's to Comedians, and everything was new and interesting, with a bit of a forum on the side.

http://web.archive.org/web/2007063002394...utube.com/#?

Now, in 2013, it's a clusterfuck of the most popular things ever, and a wannabe social networking site.

http://www.youtube.com/

I really loved the old youtube, streams, bulletins full of Chain mail, random information, and retarded requests signed by tons of people, 5 star system, and GOOD interface.

Hell, youtube was the first site that introduced me to things like forums, streams and internet friends. It's sad to see it go. My account goes way back to 2007.

I had a look at the earliest Youtube page they have, out of curiosity.

I've had an already shitty day and the only thing that could've topped it off would have been the bane of my existence making another shitty upgrade. Getting reeeeeeeal tired of this "USE OUR SOCIAL MEDIA IT'S SO FUN YOU WON'T EVEN NOTICE ANYTHING YOU WOULD ACTUALLY WANT TO WHEN YOU CAN SOCIALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIZE" shit. Is forcing really the best way when it is painfully clear nobody wants your shitty services? I feel violated. Oh well, ain't gonna let them have my dignity. I'm just gonna refrain from commenting. Fuck google+.

Youtube's fucked themselves royally here. There's already a petition to get youtube back the way it was to even remove google+. What a way to run a website. You just shot everyone in the face youtube.

The Youtube Reacts dude made a revamped version of the same video I posted earlier:

"HEIL GOOGLE"

You know just as much as I do that won't do a thing. No one wouldn't be able to boycott without either quitting halfway through or say they refuse to use youtube but still use it anyway.

I love how the little popup said they made the changes to encourage people to duscuss more. Do they even realize what the YT comment sections are filled with?

That video above summarizes what I mean perfectly. Only now it's worse.

Oh, and I love how they think that changing everything about the comments is good, when they still haven't changed the ONE thing people have wanted.

A LONGER FUCKING COMMENT LIMIT, I've been wanting this for so long, yet they just change everything else, and leave that alone.

Well, they might've, but I don't comment anymore.

Well your dream is real, because they do have a longer comment limit now.

Are you talking about the character limit or the actual comment limit when you have to write that damn captcha to post your comment?
