Exciting Game Finds
#46
Oh bleh... I'm so tired I already forgot the name of it! Anyway, as I was packing, I found a game I don't even remember buying. I only paid $9.99 for it apparently and it looks fun! Santa's threatening to give me coal on the back of the case.

Was it called Daze Before Chirstmas?

Dual Hearts. I'm guessing I was in the mindset of "If Atlus made it, I'll like it!" at the time.

I bought a Master System for £7.

I also missed out on one of those Keyboard video game machines, like a Commodore/Amstrad type deal. I didn't know what the hell it was when I picked it up, and dismissed it once I saw the Master System.

It didn't have any connections anyway.

According to some sources I've read, it actually can play Famicon games.

Yea, after more review, and I quote from thevintagegamers.com
Although this time there isn’t enough space to make a good enough
connection for most of my Famicom cartridges even work, oddly enough
I’ve found by their poorly made nature pirate carts work slightly
better. Even so, if you accidentally bump the cartridge you’re going to
need to reset the system and try again.

So, I'd pick up some Famicon cartridges online (not NES, have to get the Japanese games), they should work, albeit with difficulty. So, you can play Famicon games for a cheap price. I'm seeing this system on Ebay right now for $30, with Famicons at a similar price. So, it's overpriced online, but if you picked that thing up for like 5 bucks from a thrift store, you got yourself on awesome deal.

Sweet, I dont know if ill pick one up though, as I have one game on there that has like, 50 games in that one cartridge. But thanks for the info!

PSN selling The Walking Dead Season Pass DLC for $4.99 which meant I could have all 5 Episodes of this game for dirt cheap plus the cool background theme. Vita version is selling for $19.00. Don't know why (more $$$$) but it is.

They've gotta make some money on the Vita somehow ;p

I know. I'll have to go back and see, but I thought that most games you download can be played on all 3 PS consoles (ie. PS3, PSP and Vita). Maybe it's not the case here.

I'm sure once you can use the Vita as a second-screen with the PS4, sales might improve a bit.

I have new games!!!

I got these at my "Used Book/Game/CD/Stuff" store. I got Kirby's Pinball becuse I thought it was Kirby's Block Ball, a game I loved to play as a kid but lost. I am now disappointed that it is not what I thought it was.

I got these yesterday from a guy I live near. He was selling a lot for $20 and I picked out what I wanted and gave my mom the rest to do as she pleased with them. I picked Dr. Mario Just because my grandmother had it when I was really little and I just could not part with it.

Super Hylide for the Genesis. I'll be seeing how it plays later tonight. But, it's an action RPG I had never heard of before, do I have high hopes. I also just wanted to revive this thread.

SUper Hydlide isn't that great. It's not bad, but it's not good either. it has a lot of cool mechanics, but there are so many it really slows the game down and makes gameplay pretty meh. Oh, and I almost forgot to say that that wasn't the only Genesis game I got today...

I had this game when I was younger; I found it the hardest game of all time. No joke, I didn't get it, at all. I put on armour. I walk to kill enemies. I'm dead before I get out of the town because I'm wearing armour.

Two questions:
  1. Where did you get Sonic and Knuckles? I have been looking for that for years.
  2. How much did you pay for that? I like knowing how much you guys pay for things (even if I don't entirely understand Pounds)

The hunger mechanic could have killed you. If you don't eat by 12 PM, you start losing health rapidly and die. Also, the more equipment you have, the slower you move. That also counts for items+money.
Don't go to sleep by 10, and you start losing all attack power and have to go to an inn to sleep. So many little mechanics just to make what would be a very short game longer.

A small used game store in southern Ohio. $7 dollars. They had 3 of them. Got a bunch turned in at once. It's fun to play as Knuckles in Sonic 2, which was why I was really excited to get my hands on it.

I bought pic related for £13.

Turned out it was worth A LOT more than this guy was selling it for.
He then dropped the price from £15 to £13 for no apparent reason
He then gave me a new unoped copy.

Literally no idea how it happened, but I own Persona 3: FES.
