I just hope that if they ever have a Justice League movie (which Batman vs Superman is turning out to be) they use Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin to represent Barry and Oliver because they are excellent actors. Looking forward for Season 3 of The Arrow, Season Premier of Flash and Gotham.

Finished the first season of Boardwalk Empire. Now I understand how everything is in place in the show.

Wouldn't be that hard to do either since WB owns the CW network. Both characters have an established fan base and with the Flash and Arrow coexisting in the same TV universe at least, the idea of people with special powers like the Flash or unique skills like Green Arrow wouldn't be too hard then to incorporate both Batman and Superman in that universe either. Even if they never show up on either TV show, they could still mention them or acknowledge what happened like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. did with the more major Avengers characters.

It's a little of both. Some were complaining because it was a rocky start for the first part of the season. I think it was due in part to the Marvel films (Thor and Captain America) with an episode airing just after the films premiered with them dealing with the aftermath and in the case of Winter Solider After Winter Soldier premiered the show ramped up and things got really interesting really quickly. Plus they explain how Agent Coulson survived getting shived by Loki in The Avengers. I'd suggest watching it and stick with it after the first couple of episodes before passing full judgment. Shows like this has a bit of a bumpy start to find their footing but once they do it is a really good thing to see.

I find the idea of having a show based on movies to be a good idea to expand on the universe, but I think they should do it after all the movies came out so people don't fall behind and get confused by betrayals that happened in the movie. To the shows credit, it does fill like a comic where you have to go from movie to show to movie to show to get the whole story.

American Horror Story season 2 finally started here! About time, I just learned about season 4. Kind of lucky that I happened to even see this season opener, I just checked my TV guide out of boredom like 40 minutes before the show started.
I gotta say, the re-castings are interesting.

Watched last night's episode of Game of Thrones and even though I know what was gonna happen at the end of the episode, they managed like the Red Wedding episode to make me cringe and squirm in my seat.
I was like the stereotypical black person at the theater yelling at stupid people on screen not to do what they are about to do, and then they do it anyway which I then yell at them that "I told them not to do it didn't I?" Now it is Summer time and TV will be in a dry well of re-runs and crappy shows I just don't care for.....actually that isn't entirely true, Penny Dreadful from Showtime looks really good. It is like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen where you have an assortment of Victorian era characters all coming together. They already have Dr. Frankenstein and his Creature (who was giving a name when he was hired into a theater group as Caliban from The Tempest which is a rather on the nose name) and Mina from Bram Stoker's Dracula's father is looking for her with the help of a medium played by Eva Green. So already we have Frankenstein's and Dracula's story coming together in this show. With mentions of Jack the Ripper so we might possibly see him or her too (they never found him/her so no one knows if The Ripper was a woman.) So I got that to tide me over when Game of Thrones wraps up in two weeks. Next Sunday is Ep. 9 which is usally the episode when shit hits the fan and some big things happen which is hard considering a lot of big moments already happened so it is hard to guess just how big the fight coming next week will be.

There was nothing that could prepare me for the latest episode of GoT. That was pretty harsh. Not much for me to watch now, though. Time to Netflix the crap outta shows I needed to watch. At least I have Steam sales to look forward to.

At this point I should just not read the last books that are scheduled just so the rest of the show after a certain point can surprise me like so many other people. I'll just buy the books and put them aside till after the show is done so I can be entertained and surprised all at once.

I watched the season opener for Dr. Who series 4 yesterday and I have to say, despite going for over an hour it was propably my least favorite episode of the series. I was really excited for it too, with the whole Titanic tease at the end of series 3. Oh well, can't have it all I guess.

American Horror Story: Asylum has pretty much everything you could ask for from a horror show. Aliens, freaks, mutants, religious fanatics, a mad scientist, a serial killer on the loose, mysterious disappearings, ghost hunting and a lunatic asylum in the middle of dark woods. Oh yes, and torture, I guess there's that too.
And nobody friggin' spoil. I will end you. Episode three now. |
