E3 - Sony Event
#16
Sony's conference was okay. Mortal Kombat X and LBP3 was probably was the greatest things they showed. PlayStation Now is confirmed for Canada.

OMG LBP. Me and all my brothers were having the biggest freakout when we saw LBP 3. LBP 3 was the best thing I've seen in all of E3 so far.

I'd say Sony blew Microsoft out of the water. They had a lot more games I wanted to play and there is something to be said about Indie games, which Microsoft doesn't really focus on enough. As long as Nintendo doesn't disappoint, Microsoft is going to take last place again this year.

I just watched the trailer for Let it Die and I'm so bummed out. Is Suda51 ditching the cartoony style? That's what made the crazy amounts of violence so fun along with the dark humor. I'm not interested in this title at all. I know his games aren't the best sellers, but it sucks if that's why he's switching styles.

I didn't watch Sony's but from what I saw the only worthwhile game is Uncharted 4.

I've taken the time to list out all the games from each event. If you want to look at them, it could help you find a few more assuming there are more you'd like.

I'm honestly super impressed with Sony's conference. Grim Fandango is a game I've heard so much about, but never played and I definitely will now. New Uncharted was expected. They actually got Rockstar to say something about GTAV coming to PC/next gen. No Man's Sky was jaw-dropping, it's the game I never knew I wanted. LBP3 wasn't unexpected, but I loved the previous 2 and I'm sure this will be just as good, although I did want a silly subtitle to go with it. Like LBP3: Sack Harder. Dead Island 2 kind of had me like :| and then Far Cry 4 had me like :D
And like I expected, Last of Us and MGS both have incredible excited.

In my opinion, Sony stole the show. Mostly because of all the surprises, but they had a ton of cool reveals. Now we just have to wait for Fall when these games will come out...

edit: I seem to have missed that the first Ratchet and Clank will be remastered once more and I will definitely buy it once more.

Or wait... They'd probably put it on Vita, right? Then I'm covered.

Yeah Vita will get it too. Just watched the video today. I will finally see what all the fuss is about now, lol.

According to Tim's twitter, talks for other platform releases are on the drawing board(from the sound of it).

I just wonder what changed in terms of Double Fine getting Grim Fandango back. During Tim's AMA he made it sound impossible because Disney had ownership of it.

I would guess that Tim knew that Disney would just sit on the rights on the game. So he later plotted to convince disney to do something with Grim Fandango. Seeing that the game is almost at its 16th anniversary, he went to a higher up Sony. Which he pitched to them about remaking/remastering the adventure game. They were interested, so Sony(along with Tim and maybe a few others) made the pitch to Disney about remaking Grim Fandango. And surprisingly enough, they gave the thumbs up on that.

Plus if they just do a download they save a ton of money on making physical copies too plus shipping and ads that would go into promoting it for the masses.
