At the Movies!
I finally went to see the last Hobbit film and it felt so good to come full circle with the film ending where the first LOTR film starts. No matter how many times I watch these films I will still want more of them. They feel like an endless flow of fantasy and wonderment. Now I need to watch them all in a marathon.

Strange Magic is pretty good. Its not as bad as critics arm making it out to be. Its far better than Frozen (in my opinion anyway) with its themes and what it wants to say. The Pop songs are a bit jarring but they aren't bad. The one thing the trailers don't tell you about this movie is that its a musical. So the singing is going to catch you of guard. But still, not bad songs. I wouldn't trust any reviews of the movie because most of them seem to want to talk about how "bad" the music is and ignore everything else.

If you're a fan of animated films, give this one a look see. It is rather impressive.

Pop songs in a musical? That makes me want to see it more. It just sounds like a Jukebox Musical, but those never bothered me. I might catch it when it comes out on video/Netflix.

As for reviews, I don't trust reviews for movies any more. A movie could have this alsome story with kick ass fight scenes and characters that are quoted for the next 10 years and the reviews will focus on the fact that there are subtext that are not there or the fact that the one actor in the main cast can't act, which will give it a "Not See" or 2/5. The same goes for games.

I don't plan on seeing Strange Magic, I'll wait for it to show up on netflix. One of my friends saw it and didn't think it was good. If George Lucas wanted to make an animated film, he should have contacted Don Bluth to make a good family animated film.

I saw the new Spongebob movie yesterday. Even though I'm not a big fan of Spongebob, I managed to enjoy this. Things get interesting in the movie during the second and third act of the movie.

I spent yesterday half watching an X-men Marathon. I'm not sure if it's because I saw it a lot as a child or it just not that good any more, but I don't like the original as much any more.

I got to see Days of Futures Past and I want to say that it's the best out of all of them. I just need to watch The Wolverine to have seen them all.

Not sure if this is old news but my friend just linked this trailer to me since I had not seen it yet. I think it's pretty cool that they are returning to what is generally viewed as the best Terminator movie without doing a crummy remake or a reboot.

I've been meaning to do a marathon on the series as well. I recently bought the entire series on Bluray (Days of Future Past on DVD, accidentally) but I haven't had the time to start the series from the beginning. I guess I'll skip Origins since I saw it not too long ago, though. The plan is to watch them in chronological order.

I don't know if this made its way to the US, but I want to see it.

That equals so much yes for me. I have a feeling that "When marnie was here"  is going to be kind of depressing and possibly Studio Ghibli's last film as well but oh how I cannot wait. I want it so much more than any other form of media I can consume. Studio Ghibli is just so good in my opinion that I can't properly explain it, and I am so hyped to see how this comes out.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

Terminator 2 is the one everyone views as the best terminator film dude, the first one is great and all but the second one is just 10/10 movie.

Regardless, I really can't wait to watch that film, I went through all the movies again and seeing Arny back, it's just too good. Hopefully going to watch it when all my exams are over with, it'll be a nice treat.

Agreed. 1 is good and all, but I can't say that it holds up as much as T2 does.

One of the must see movies IMO.

...Did you watch the trailer? T2 is exactly what I meant. They are clearly returning to that part of the timeline, with the T-1000 and all.

Man, I think I'm the only one who prefers the first Terminator to the second. Don't get me wrong, T2 is an amazing movie, but parts of it just get beyond cheesy and I can't stand the John Connor character at all. The first one has awful special effects, but I'm a damn sucker for scary-bad special effects.

Oh I thought you meant "return" as in they are returning to the first terminator. (i.e. Terminator 1. Sending Kyle Reese back in time to save Sarah Connor) Not that they're are returning to the "Plot of Terminator 2" with the T-1000 and all.

That's what I thought. Combine the first two movies together (first three if you count the T-X converted John) to make a story that flows though the sires.

Also the T-X converted John. Not sure how to feel about that.
