Fighting Games
Crazy idea. I would instantly play a Robot Chicken fighting game. If it was produced like the show and the video game Clayfighter(with stop-motion). Hell. If they even make a new Clayfighter, have the robot chicken show up as a special guest similar to how Earthworm Jim showed up in Clayfighter.

So I guess if you pre-order SFV you get to try the beta. It's mentioned at the end of the trailer.

Got all the Skullgirls characters. Still bad at game.

Been meaning to check out Skullgirls, but I'll do that once I get a stream controller. Is the game any good?

I just impulse bought 3 characters if that's any indication. I'd recommend getting it soon though because one of the dlc characters is currently free, but not for much longer and they're all discounted right now. Also, I can't see steam controller working well, but if you have a 360, ps3, ps4 or logitech controller, you can make it work. There is a controller mapping option.

A bit of skepticism, but also because as far as I can tell, these steam controllers are meant to act like a mouse and keyboard. I just don't see that working too well for a fighting game. I'll be happy to be proven wrong though.

This has me excited. I love the idea of new mechanics, Street Fighter will be a lot better for it. I hope also that we'll get a more detailed roster at E3.

Seems very similar to Street Fighter Alpha systems with X-isms and such. Only they were pretty

I'm not really digging the controller in general. For fighting games, I don't see the level of precision and feedback provided to be suitable for this genre. Anyone can use any controller (I mean, Luffy won USFIV EVO 2014 on a PS1 controller) but that still have the feedback provided (pressing buttons) that is important for a game about execution. I guarantee people will set out to try and use one(for all genres) but it's really not a well designed controller in general.

This is why more hardcore (as much as I hate useing that trem) gamers get an arcade pad. You can use a controler to play fighting games, but an arcade pad just feels natural, especially for Street Fighter which was made for the arcade.

Pretty much. There isn't anything rong ith using any other controller (as I said earlier about the EVO 2014 champ) but I find that button feedback is important for gaming in general. It kinda depends though but the Steam controller does have buttons, it's basically an Xbox controller, so I would think that the circle mouse pad thing is just for the camera. The D-pad looks a bit meh.

For my fighting games played on PC, I go with a Japanese Sega Saturn controller through a UBS adaptor.
It's amazing.

My reaction to SFV has been pretty lukewarm thus far but... When they announced Cammy in the E3 trailer... I want his so hard.

I may suck playing as her but god damn it if she isn't my main.

Oh, and Ryu for Smash Bros? Whaaaaaaaaaat?

I guess Roy's there too.
