Started to watch Once Upon a Time on Netflix last week. If someone told me that this show was about Snow White and Prince Charming's kid who needs to brake the evil queen's curse on a town of fairy tale characters and Rumpelstiltskin was one of the big bads, I would first tell you to stop reading fan fictions and then say that it sounded like a really bad idea for a show. It was even worse when I saw the promos for the Frozen Arc for the show. After watching it for a bit, I think I may have been too hasty with my opinion.
I am now half way into season 2 and I have to say the I do have some complaints. Most of the CGI is HOOOOOORRIBLE, the Snow White stuff gets old by the beginning of the second season, Snow and Charming get on my nerves when they get sappy (which is normally when they "find each other"), and Regina/The Evil Queen needs to be punched in the face and no one has done it yet, not to mention the show really wants me to feel for her when she's just a teetotal bitch all the time.
That being said, I love all the characters, they are all well cast, the premise is a lot better then it sounds, it's funny (to Disney standers atlest), and it's one of the shows/movies that I really don't mind the jumbled up stories (which it tells through flashbacks). It's a really good show.
I just submitted my first television screenplay to the studio. Here's hoping it gets picked up and they throw tons of money my way in order to make the damn thing.
And then hopefully some of you will like it, because you better believe I will blow this thread up with news about it if that thing gets picked up. :)

A dude from my hometown got the second best time in the Atlanta qualifier on American Ninja Warrior last night. The guy is an athlete. He played sports in high school and beat an amateur boxer (that I used to work with) in a local "Tough Man Contest" a few years back.
Nice. I always wanted to compete in the Ninja Warrior stuff back when I was young and in shape...and had both legs working properly and all that.
Could never afford to take the time off and go to Japan for it. By the time American Ninja Warrior started I was already growing out of shape and cursing the status of my right ankle.

Back before Ninja Warrior came to America, I told my first wife that I would do Ninja Warrior if I ever went to Japan. Now it's here and I'd need to lose 40 pounds and get into shape. One day. Maybe.
Two reasons. The web cartoon is a hit and miss(mostly on a miss since its ripping off the anime slayers with the 'gotta catch them all' concept with magical swords that are out of place for the fantasy genre). I can't imagine how the show itself will be better than the web cartoons since the creator is not even trying to make a good cartoon. And secondly...The creator is a bum who cannot take criticism, and goes out of his way to bully online artists like myself for just expressing an opinion like an adult. Even going out of his way to use his 'friends' to attack others for expressing an opinion. I called out this professional artist as a manchild for a reason. What's even sadder about this is that there is A LOT of talented artists who are going to be working on this. They don't even know they're working with an online bully.
Hey... I really loved Parks and Recreation and Wilfred. I need something new to get into, but I'll admit I have a really hard time with shows that aren't cartoons. Any recommendations?

I watched like 1 episode and really didn't like anybody. Then again, the first season of Parks and Rec was pretty bad too, so I should probably try a little more.

Just finished up Bojack Horseman; holy shit that show is the most human tv show I've ever watched, which is part of the joke for sure, but damn it still hits like a truck.
Definitely recommend it as both a riotous comedy and a gut-punching drama.

So...not sure if anyone else heard of this, but they are making a remake of the "Lethal Weapon" franchise for Television.
As someone who watched the original first two movies (i have yet to watch the other two) this is...umm, who asked for a reboot of this anyway? The original movies were good as how they are, there's no need for a reboot/remake/sequel in my opinion. Meh, who i'm kidding, i'm still gonna watch the first three episodes in order to satisfy my morbid curiosity.
