Against a crooked stile? I suppose he also bought a crooked cat which caught a crooked mouse and they all lived together in a little crooked house.

Ever played Fatal Frame or The Calling?

Well, it looks like someone took the idea of the two and merged them into this beautifully terrifying looking game:

You can download the demo at their Indiegogo page: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dreadout

I don't really play a lot of the bigger horror games, mostly indie horror and my favorite is probably Cry of Fear.

I have, and managed to get the good ending. It's one of the games that disturbed me the most. Why? For the crooked man itself. Just think about him creeps me the fuck out!

That also happens to me with Slender. I think that that's the game that scared me the most in my life.

I have not played the Crooked Man, but I've seen it. Also, agreed on the Slender. Those games really creep me out as well.

Honestly,Slender bored me to hell after the few seconds, like,i think it give me shivers after the first couple of minutes and after that it was REALLY predictable.

Scare Hump after Scare Jump after Scare Jump After Scare Hump after Scare Jump after Scare Jump got me like this after the 10th time:

To each their own. I think the main reasons it got to me is because I hadn't played that many horror games and my only real exposure to Slender at the time was Marble Hornets, which freaks me out a lot.

I might stream the Crooked Man, only watched like 10 or so mins of it so I don't think that I missed too much.

I hate most scary things. I've watched maybe five or six partial horror films in my entire life, and even less in their entirety. Horror games, however, I can cope with, to some degree. I feel like I have some degree of power over what happens, so I can deal with it better. I played and loved Amnesia, and I can deal with pretty much any horror game that revolves around a thick dark atmosphere and thoroughly frightening settings like that. It's the cheap jump scare games like Slender that get me. I hate those things.

Silent Hill 2 is my personal favorite game of all time.
That being said most things relating to Silent Hill tend to suck.
