New Bandai Namco patent could change the way players learn Tekken 8 and more future fighting games

If you read the article you'll see this idea sounds good... but why does it need to be a patent?? This is just like the time they patented minigames during loading screens.

Have you ever wondered why loading screens were such a pain back in the day? Well, now you know why

And now they want to patent this? Really?

Wanna hear Angela Belti's theme in the first Power Instinct game? Wanna hear Day of the Killer but this time using real instruments?

PanterAmetal100 Wrote:Cover performed with real guitar (Ibanez RG420EG) and synth VSTs. Recorded with Reaper.

EDIT: Speaking of Angela Belti. I've seen a few people who believe that she's trans because she had a masculine-looking face in Power Instinct 1 and the fact that she was voiced by a male employee at ATLUS. No, she's not trans. The reason why she looked and sounded like that was because the character originally started out as a parody of huge grappler characters like Zangief. After Power Instinct 1 her face and voice was changed.

EDIT 2: She also lost a lot of muscle mass after Power Instinct 1. She's still muscular, just not as much compared to her Power Instinct 1 incarnation. I didn't mention this before because I thought it was irrelevant. Then I remenbered that players back then would have been like "Why is she so muscular? She looks too macho!" which should have helped to sell the whole idea that she is (or was?) a parody of the stock grappler character. So yeah, I'm mentioning it now.

You know Goldlewis Dickinson's win animation in Guilty Gear StrIVe? The one where Goldlewis gets distracted and then a group of aliens abduct/kidnap the opponent? Here's a compilation of all the quotes that are said during that win animation.

So I just found out about this fan game called Pocket Slam

ULISOFT INDIE GAMES Wrote:THE WAIT IS OVER!
The tribute for Slam Masters franchise is here, in NeoGeo Pocket Style Pixel Art and like a crossover of the best Wrestlers between Capcom and SNK with a Special Guest.

8 bits theme by: Falkkone

The special guest is Angela Belti from Power Instinct.

EDIT: man, even in fan games Zangief and Mike Haggar are NOT allowed to fight each other. Haggar was relegated to a background cameo in this one.

Moving on from Pocket Slam.

As you know, Oro from Street Fighter is so powerful that he fights only using one arm. In Street Fighter III he uses a spell to bind his other arm while in Street Fighter V (which chronologically takes place before SF3) he uses his other arm to hold his pet tortoise. Oro only uses both arms during Super Arts or Critical Finish (in other words, during his most powerful attacks).

Since we already have Shin Akuma, how about we get Shin Oro in Street Fighter VI? Shin Oro is just Oro using BOTH of his arms during the fight instead of just using one. Nobody has seen his true abilities using both hands, only a tiny glimpse of his real potential. That would make for an epic boss fight.

Capcom aims to focus on PC as their main platform and could hold big implications for the company's fighting games going forward (It still might take a while to see the results, however)

So I found this on Reddit. I quote: "KOF Gifs That Probably Doesn't Need Context".

https://old.reddit.com/r/kof/comments/pt...d_context/ (Part 1)

https://old.reddit.com/r/kof/comments/pv...xt_part_2/ (Part 2) (Slightly NSFW because one of the GIFs feature a pair of bare buttocks. But overall I don't think is rule breaking)

https://old.reddit.com/r/kof/comments/pw...xt_part_3/ (Part 3)

https://old.reddit.com/r/kof/comments/pz...xt_part_4/ (Part 4)

Context: The GIFs are from the end credits of KOF 2002.

Street Fighter II's Four Heavenly Kings: Shadaloo -- Designing For Mastery

Designing For Wrote:Designing For is a series which looks at a level in gaming, and analyzes a theme central to that level's design. In this episode, we look at Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, and how it wordlessly teaches players how to improve at the game's deeper mechanics with its four final bosses: the Four Heavenly Kings of Shadaloo.
