As someone who has been lurking on the Street Fighter story thread since it's humble beginnings back in December of 2015, it's a shame to see it go. 740+ pages worth of discussion and translations... gone to waste *sigh* . Hopefully they can manage to get an archive, there's a lot of valuable info not just in that thread, but in SRK as a whole.

How the story crew is reacting to this announcement (I now this isn't exactly the best time to talk about this BUT I wouldn't mind if at least three story menbers like Shockdingo, Bakfromon and/or Miðgarðsorm migrated over here. This place needs some fresh meat)

UPDATE: Looks like that not only they are migrating the servers from Vanilla Forums to Discourse, they are also planning for some perks for Patreon supporters as well!

I'm happy for the SRK users. Those forums are an chapter withim the history of the FGC.

Well, now that new Discourse site is up, I can confirm it looks like a total mess. I really hope that it is in a "rough draft" version and the functionality improves. No page function makes navigating those long threads a pain.

I prefer SRK2.

EDIT: don't take me wrong, I am glad that the SRK guys kept their forums, but like, just infinite scrolling and no page function isn't really my thing. Oh well, at least there's still a search function if you are looking for specific posts.

Have dropped Android 21 for the moment and am trying out Cell. The ranks sure are weird. I got TOD'd by someone in my rank one game and ended up in a match where someone didn't know how to block in another. Namekian now.

"Would a Legend of Zelda fighting game work? Not Hyrule Warriors, not Super Smash Bros, a dedicated competitive 2D/2.5D Fighting game featuring characters from the Zelda series." - The video description

EDIT: personally, I believe a game like that could work. Not only the series has many combat-oriented characters to fill the roster with, but the name of "zelda" alone pretty much means the game would have a lot of exposure. Dragon Ball FighterZ being the latest example.

Besides, Link was featured as a guest character on the Gamecube version of Soul Calibur II, meaning they have some sort of base to build upon, so to speak.

A more accurate title for this video would be "how DBZs Cell Saga should have ended".

I'm just going to echoe what everyone else has said: the desing reminds me of Zato-1 from Guilty Gear (personally, I'm saying this in a good way).
