I'm not saying some people aren't in it for the wrong reasons or do it in a manner that is inhuman, but if no one did it then you probably wouldn't have your guinea pigs, and as for the whole food side of, I don't like how "factory farms" do business, but if they didn't exist at all then almost all the meat in the stores would be non-existent. Also if you don't know what I mean by how a factory farm does business go watch Food, Inc. it's on Netflix.

I actually have my guinea pigs because they're really hard to sex and thus accidental pregnancies happen. As much as I adore him, Colonel Mustard only exists because those folks didn't listen to me and separate their pigs in time. I can't not get attached to an animal I'm raising so it's going to be so hard on me to say goodbye, even though he's going to get a good home. Plus I'm still so glad that Dahlia delivered him just fine.

What we need to agree on here is that yes, of course we need animals to reproduce so we can have food and they can keep their species going, but it's something can be abused as well.
