That might not be so bad though, you can just get a couple windowbangers for your bedroom and kitchen or wherever. It's significantly cheaper to cool the room you're in than to cool a whole house.
I just want to be comfortable in my own home is all. I'm so used to central air, plus I love having a cold temperature, so I'd rather not be uncomfortable in certain areas.
I know that might sound a little silly, but I'm also thinking about my mom as well. I'm guessing that she'll end up living with me in her older age and she's even worse about heat than I am since cancer really screwed her up. I just felt a bit warm while I was re-looking at the house today while she was sweating bullets (she insists on tagging along since she thinks I can't choose the right house on my own).
