So, an old school I went to has decided to remove a picture of Jesus permanently after a court order. It's just really funny that it made national news, because it's a town of 7,000 people.
The people that original donated the picture, back when they were students at the school, have since died of old age. It's been there that long, people.
The picture was hung in an UNUSED hallway. I was in the school many times and never even knew it was hung up anywhere. I've heard the same thing who went to the school over 50 years ago. None of us knew it existed.
It's just kinda funny that it blew up so much and cost thousands of dollars in court battles. In retrospect, the group that originally complained really blew up the issue. Sure, it was hanging up, but in an area that none of the students even saw or noticed it. And then the local schools blew up the issue, by arguing that removing the picture was a destruction of free speech.
Crazy world.
