So Saturday, I drove four hours to a friends place in a large city to help him move down to a little town that I live in. It was supposed to get there in morning, load it up, drive home all in one day. Instead of everything being ready or even being in the same place, we're driving around this city that I don't know well through the projects at midnight because he had left his stuff at so many different people's houses.
Anyways, I needed to be back home by 9 A.M. the next morning. Yea, I'm doing this Saturday night, whenever I got there in the morning and should have already been home. So, last place we stop at he just stays at this friend's house and ditches me. Yes, leaves me alone in the city after midnight with no idea where I am. He then says if I want to sleep somewhere, he can call one of his friends that I don't know and ask if I can crash on his couch.
As scary and poorly thought out as that was, that actually worked out pretty well. So I crashed on a stranger's couch after midnight, woke up a few hours later and was back on the road home at 4:30. With all of my one friend's earthly possessions somehow squashed in my minivan. He said he was going to come back to my town to his new place sometime yesterday and we could unload everything when he gets back.
So, at midnight last night, he texts me that he just got back and we could start unloading.
For unknown reasons, I still haven't texted him back and all his stuff is still in the van. What price should I start the bidding at?
