Another, is breaking the fourth wall. Seriously, I never expect it and it's always one of the scariest things in games.

Scary? Is the only games you played that has this Eternal Darkness and Resident Evil? Most of the fourth wall brakes are funny and played for laughs.



As for me, I like the moments were you get to take out an army of dudes all by yourself. Makes you feel like a badass EX. Battle of 1000 Heartless from Kingdom Hearts II.

Have you ever played Metal Gear Solid 2 at 1am while it's dark and the only light is coming from the game? And then suddenly, you're playing, and you get to 2:50?

Or even better, you're playing Ghost Trick under the covers at night, and you're trying to complete it and suddenly this happens.

I may not be a fan of scary games, but damn it, those two times are the few times a game has scared me so much.
