It's not like they haven't given some warnings that the new one was going to get some exclusives. I mean from the get go, they made it clear the New 3DS was more powerful and give it an enticing exclusive to boot, that's two warnings right there to pay attention or get it. Then, on top of that, Hyrule Warriors Legends has been known about for months, and anyone who knows anything about game systems had to know the New 3DS is the system to play that one on. I don't know, I think complaining about the New 3DS exclusives makes about as much sense as complaining about Sony or Microsoft exclusives. We all knew they were coming.
I get that but it's like Nintendo are competing against themselves. It's like when Sony/Microsoft make a statement about being able to "experience this game only on [insert console]" but with Nintendo, they're competing against themselves for no real reason. There isn't any benefit to alienating a strong user base or forcing them into a console version that people aren't willing to give into yet. Even still, the new3DS has one exclusive, Xenoblade Chronicles and it's not a must have. Games like Hyrule Warriors and Monster Hunter benefit from being played on those systems as they are given a graphical upgrade but it's not really a must own feature of the new3DS.
Knowing that these plans are coming doesn't stop them being bad.
Did look into the games though since Earthbound on the go would be sweet but at £8 a SNES game, nah.
