Damn, this thread's like a sad username graveyard.
Just to elaborate on 16 year old Arjahn's hilarious and timely boner joke, I love Furret so much because in Gen II games he was a beast. He could learn each of the different elemental punches, was fast as heck, and had great STAB moves you could abuse right off the bat (90 power headbutt mhhhhmmmm).
Of course, tradgedy struck in Gen 3 when they overhauled TM's and Furret no longer had access to any meaningful coverage. Then when young, tragic Arjahn started looking into the garish cesspool of Competitive Pokemon, he saw how objectively bad the little bugger really is.
When they went into Gen 5 and started announcing Hidden Abilities, I got my hopes up. Addding on Adaptability, which was on Eevee and come on now Furret is just a reskin of eevee already amirite, would've been huge.
Then we saw that they gave him.... Frisk? Fucking seriously?
When they were announcing Mega Pokemon, I held out hope for a Mega Furret to come save the day, but it didn't happen.
He's picked up a handful of better coverage moves throughout the years, Knock Off and U-Turn being prime examples, but the little guy still gets cut from even the lowest tier teams.
In spite of that, he'll always be top tier in my heart.
