Bad gun feel in a shooter. Not even controls, but if the guns feel floaty and not impactful, it kills the game for me.
The best example I can name is Far Cry Blood Dragon. The game was hyped up as this crazy 80's shootemup, you get in and everything feels you're shooting little nerf darts. The sound design is maybe the worst of any game I've ever played, everything sounds like one of those actual Nerf videogames, except in those the weak impact is on purpose; underwhelming muddy visuals, stilted animations and complete lack of recoil just culminate in one of the worst gaming experiences I think I've ever had.
