Took a shine to Under Night In-Birth. Seriously underrated and have both the PS4 and Switch version.
I am by no means a lover of anime fighting games and it is a niche genre that I dismissed because I find the character design or aesthetic laughable. Guilty Gear being the primary example(though I do acknowledge that the series is good but it isn't something that appeals to me.)
Under Night In-Birth on the other hand really struck a chord with me. The overall presentation of the game is next level and how they balance the characters in design, abilities, and personality actually made me like the roster instead of the usual meh attitude I get when it comes to anime characters.
Highly recommend, the training mode is pretty damn good and the the difficulty curve is just right for newbies.
The online is shit tho :/
