Personally, I think it isn't as good as the second one. The second one had a nice blend of seriousness and silliness, while this one just seems to abandon any serious moments. Saints Row and its sequel seemed to understand how to make a good GTA clone without it feeling like a clone, while also making its own identity and still being tremendous amounts of fun. While the third game also does not feel like a GTA clone, it however does not feel like its predecessors, and more like a game from an entirely different series.
Maybe it's just me, but Saints Row the Third just isn't as good or as entertaining as the first two games. It's still a good game, just not as good. Again, maybe it's just me or maybe it's because I (quoting from my dorm mates from my previous college) "hate fun."
