Little interesting fact about SEGA. In 1993, they decided, as part of advertising, to sponser Frank Williams F-1 racing team. They sponsored two drivers in particular, Alain Prost of France and Damon Hill of Britian.

The cars were heavy SEGA colors, and their two drivers wore white gloves and red shoes just like SEGA's mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog. The two drivers dominated that season, taking 15 of the sixteen pole positions and won 10 of the sixteen races.
Prost would take the title of the season, and Hill would take third.

What's even more so, they heavily sponsored the British GP that year, and the course was filled with with Sega images of the world's fastest Hedgehog.
