I feel like Animal Crossing/Sim City could be amazing if done well. Have the usual city building aspects of Sim, then have a villager who can actually live there and interact with everything.

Didn’t they do that kind of thing ?
My Sims on the DS, if I remember correctly.
Had a banging wall-tennis game.
