*Edit: Fixed the images*
I recently started to play the original Breath of Fire (in an emulator, I'm sorry -poverty sucks) and found 3 nice details about the game:
First: in some rooms inside houses, you can find Arthur's (From Ghosts and Goblins) picture, in the same fashion you can find Mario's pic in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Second: The town of Romero features zombies, which is a direct reference to Zombie authority: George Romero.
Third: The elder in Romero has a striking resemblance with Dr. Wily (Of the Mega Man Series).
I attach evidence for the first and third.
