Movies you hate

I only really liked part one. Part two was more of the same just not done as good and I have yet to see part three.

Now Amarican Pie. There is a dumb series. When you name your movie after the scene where someone is having sex with a pie, you need to rethink your movie. American Pie 2 was more of the same, and so was Band Camp, Book of Love, The Naked Mile, and Beta House (I think that's all of them). I have not seen Wedding or Reunion, but I think I know what to expect. I just feel sorry for Eugene Levy. Guy is in all of these and they only make him look really pathetic. He really is funny but these movies suck so much, even he can't save them.

I would have to say the first post of this had it right for me. Dragonball Evolution is like to Dragonball as a 4 year old smearing paint on his bedroom wall is to Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel.

That movie only had one good moment in it and it was when I could stop watching it.
I was glad that Team4Star redeemed it a little by doing a RiffTrax of the film so there is that.

Only thing else would for me be the Twilight movies. Saw the first one before I even heard of the books and I wish I could take that time back for myself or literally burn those memories from my brain but I must live with that pain every day now *cue sob*. Okay all sarcasm aside, the first one was okay to a point like a C- for some passable moments but you take it all in its entirety and this is exactly what should be said after viewing it:

I also remember reading this article and laughing hysterically at two points, one of them being the end where Jacob Laughter was compared to a llama:http://www.ign.com/articles/2010/06/04/w...lights-ass

I hate anything with Will Ferrell as a lead or supporting role except Night at the Roxbury.

This is Jack Black for me. Both actors are basicly giant man children, but I've seen a few movies that he's good in (Stranger than Fiction and Megamind). Jack Black just seems to do the same thing over and over and it's really irritating. I hear Kung-fu Panda is really good, but I have yet to see it due to him being the main character.

I generally tend to agree with you when it comes to Jack Black, but Kung-Fu Panda is actually an exception. Especially the second one, it tends to play with your emotions quite a lot and has a good story to tell. I'd really suggest them. I mean for me, Steve Carrell or however you spell his name has never been anything but annoying, but I love the despicable me movies.

Jack Black is god awful in everything he does because he's always the same character.

Kung Fu Panda is pretty good even with him as the lead, because the character he plays is actually different.

Exactly. The same can be said about a lot of actors though. When was the last time Robert Downy Jr. wasn't Tony Stark since the first Iron Man. No one seems to give him flak for that. At least Jack Black has something going for him with Kung Fu Panda. The likely to be last one is coming out next year, which should be an exciting year for movie buffs. Iron man, he gets avengers 2 which should be good but I can't see it beating the first one.

RDJ is a little different from Jack Black. With Jack Black, I always saw him as this kid trapped in an adult's body, like Adam Sandler except a whole lot annoying. RDJ, I have to admit that, before Ironman, I never heard of him. I mean I saw The Shaggy Dog and Heart and Souls, but I never knew who the guy was. He was just there.

To be fair, Jack Black used to play the bully in school character before becoming a comedic actor. RDJ has been playing the same character for 6 years and is bound to play him again in Avengers two next year making 7 years of that same character, regardless of whatever movies he's been in besides Iron Man. That's a long time to be doing that to receive absolutely no disdain from anyone for playing the same character.

I know that I've brought it up before, but Despicable Me is the single most joyless film I have ever sat through. It wasn't so bad that it was fun to watch (a la The Room and what have you *tightens monocle*), but it had so little going on and it was so drawn out that I just sat there bored out of my mind for over an hour. Every scene felt way too long, the stupid yellow things slapping eachother just wasn't funny, it was predictable as all get out, the characters sound like either really bad improv actors trying to act out caricatures or just obnoxious kids, and the whole thing just felt empty as a result.

And don't give me any of that "it was made for kids!" bullshit. So was The Iron Giant ya dinks.

  1. I liked the movie, but you can have your own opinion.
  2. Never use the excuse "it's a kid's film" becuse that should never be an excuse.

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Lion King, E.T., Tarzan, and Toy Story are all kids movies, but they are entertaining movies with good to great storys that treat the audiance like they are alowed to know dark themes. I can't stand when a movie treats the kids as if they are stupid. I will not allow my niece to watch anything Bratz, Barbie, or the like as they dumb down messages to make sure they get them. Speaking of, I hate anything Bratz related. Not only is there no messages besides "As long as you look good, you'll be fine" they are really bad movies. If you're going to have really bad animation, you have to be Gumby. There is no excuse to have bad lip-sink, really stiff to badly programed hair, and just being shit to look at.

As an added note, I don't like E.T.. I don't hate it, I just don't like it.

Thanks for reminding me of a movie I don't like, The Iron Giant was horrible. I never understood why people like that craptastic movie.

Becuse it has Vin Diesel doing what he does best. Acting like a giant destructive robot.

I kid, but really it's not that great but it's not as bad as you make it out to be.
