The Jak series as a whole is my all-time, undeniable favorite. Though, of the series, Jak 3 ranks on top. IIt combines the best of both Precursor's Legacy with the best of Renegade.

I'm a bit slow on this, but I had laptop problems and had to buy a new one, so I couldn't put up my grade, but I got a 95%, and the missing points were do to grammar errors/typos. My teacher also said that his favorite part was about this:

My current favorite is probably The Binding of Isaac, because of the dark, disgusting, and twisted tone of the game.

Probably because I turned that little info into a huge "How favorites Change" type thing, because you go from "I love everything" to "death." between those two games. So, congrats, I guess, Jiraiya!

All time...... wow..... ummm..... The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Cuccos, I told you it was about to slide in past ALttP). When my pappaw bought it for me for Christmas, I appreciated the gift and was ready for another Zelda. It was nowhere near the reaction after I bought Ocarina of Time - my brother and I combined our Christmas money A's bought it at a KB Toys store, there last copy. When I opened it up to the time I got the Kokiri Emerald from the Great Deku Tree, I was literally shaking. I think that was a combination of the most excitement I've ever had over a game's hype, the game itself, and the fact that I had a fever that night and I was getting into cold sweats from breaking it. Ahhhh....the memories.
Anyways, Majora's Mask - it's my go to game. I love the series, but this...this is different. The darker tone, the different use of time, the 5 stages of dying, the use of the same characters from Ocarina (coming from the entire series), a story line that was set apart from the reincarnation of the main trio and the Triforce, the list goes on and on. It sticks with me.

Current favorite....Fable 2. I know, I'm not keeping up with the times, but I haven't played a newer game in a long time. Unfortunately, I picked it up from its case and it cracked. But I'm really looking forward to buying another copy and for the release of Fable Anniversary. I didn't get to play Fable very long before my friend moved out to go to college.

It's funny. I got my copy of Majora's Mask as a birthday present and it is my favorite Zelda game. I still like the three games I bought myself more (Sly 2 & 3 and Kingdom Hearts II), but I think knowing that this was the first one that was given to me personally is what makes it my favorite as a child. A few days later, I also got Banjo-Tooie for Christmas, which was awesome to have, but I had to share it with my brother and sister.

Thanks for mentioning Kingdom Hearts II. Whilst I think the first game was a classic, I think that Kingdom Hearts II is dang near perfect. Love it to pieces.

I would agree, the mechanics alone were greatly improved compared to the first game especially the camera system.

For this topic though, my all time favorite is tough because I play so many games but I suppose it would have to be a toss up between FF9 and Legend of the Dragoon. These are classic turn based RPGs that have really great stories and art work for each that even though they are on the PS1 and the graphics are a bit blocky at times for the most part, I still enjoy playing them.

Currently though I'm playing Xenogears (which I've never played before, but it was $10 off PSN so I thought why not) but that isn't because I never changed what I normally play, I'm playing this first to then play Xenogears1-3 which I have. Then gonna replay and finally beat FF13 cause I've never fully beaten it. I've gotten to the final boss once but couldn't beat him and then replayed it a few times really to pass the time in between when other games would either come out or arrive through the mail that I ordered. Once I beat it, I'll play FF13-2. And a bunch of others I could list off but to sum up I got a lot on my plate so I'll have no problem finding a game to play to keep myself entertained. Also the other games I have waiting are not all RPGs, but they are a favorite genre of mine.

One of my all time favorite games has to be Super Mario RPG. For granted. It may have been the last game for Mario on the SNES and the last game Squaresoft(later sqaure enix) would make for Nintendo. But it was my first RPG game I've played that got me into playing certain RPG video games when I was a kid. My older brother showed me some gamplay footage of Mario RPG while he was going through the fantasy craze at the time. And boy did it ever catch my interest. The music, the gameplay, it brought a new meaning to an adventure with Mario. Its a shame that Nintendo can't do anything with RPG related things since Square is too busy sitting on the other half of the rights. Since they don't see it as 'profitable' since they are too busy with making more sequels to Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy.

Another great favorite of mine is Leisure Suit Larry Love for Sail. I got introduced with Leisure Suit Larry when I was in my final year of middle school. I was sick to death of seeing FPS shooter games being adored(I say it like this because most middle-high school students tend to praise the hell out of FPS video games since they don't want to stand out from the crowd). Someone did a report(a slideshow report) of video games that were controversial(the list he gave out was debatable to some gamers, but I will get into that another time) when the person mentioned Leisure Suit Larry, she suddenly caught my interest. While she was talking about the series as a whole, she only had one image and that was the cover of Love for Sail. I decided to look up the game. I then discovered a month later after that one of my uncle's friends had a copy of the game that he later got from his friend. I was literally blown away on how funny and expressive the animation was for the game. It was like watching an adult cartoon in motion. I wish that the scandal at replay games didn't happen so we could have seen a remastered version of Love for sail.
