Strange Games

Mr Mosquito: You're a mosquito and you have to suck the blood of a Japanese family. That's the premise.

Just imagine the Mario bros premise but with females. And Major league eating, the game.

Spore was a strange game.
To anyone who hasn't played it, the game was the brain child of the creator of The Sims, and centered around evolution.
It looked like everything I had ever wanted in a game and more.

Unfortunately, there was a dispute within the development team which inevitably led to the simplification of the game to appeal to a wider audience, which amounted to press 1 to be friends, press 2 to piss off everyone.

Anyway, Spore centers around 5 separate stages.
Cell,Animal,Tribal,Civilization, and Space.
Each more or less was a mini-game into itself.

The sheer amount of work that would have been needed to program the physics for most of this game, seeing as it is in its own right 5 different games is almost a nightmare.

Stretch Panic AKA Freak Out in the UK.

The story about a group of sisters being kidnapped by......... other worldly beings is the best way of describing them. The youngest sister must save them with the help of her favorite scarf, which is now animated. Most of the game is not all that weird when it comes to video games, but there are parts that are very strange. Example being the..... um....... Bonita Zakos.

Also I know that the Game Grumps cover this but they really did not do it justice of how strange and goofy it could be.

Anyone heard of Trash Panic or Parodius? Those are pretty strange games. Completely different games but both strange in their own way.

I like that game. I have a remake of the original (which also includes the original) on my phone and Twisted Dreams on PS3. I do have the actual original game on Amiga too. It's isn't that strange, though, just your average platformer.

I was going to mention those. The Pardious series gets more messed up as it goes along in the series. Surprised that it isn't even released in the USA . While on the topic on insanity. How's this for mind screw in the strange department?

Let's just delve into the deep end and mention RapeLay and the same developer's fighting game series, Battle Raper.

The less said about those, the better.

^Hard to believe that those games even got developed. Who was even sick(in the bad way) to approve of Rapelay in the first place?

The craziest part is that there actually is enough market for them to make something like Battle Raper an actual series.

The thing that I find really funny/confusing is that RapeLay is banned in Argentina, Malaysia, and Thailand for "graphic depictions of glorification of sexual violence", and "sexual content". SOOOOO a game with RAPE in the title is banned and it has to be questioned? The only reason I never submitted this piece of trivia is because A. It's kinda "No Dugh" trivia and B. I was never sure if I sould. It's free game for anyone who wants it and if it will be accepted.

Also, thanks for not adding any pictures.

So, I just bought a really strange old game for the Sega Genesis called 'The Ooze'. You play as a pile of ooze that can spit out pieces of himself as an attack. You have no HP meter, but if the ooze shrinks too much or his weird thing of a head takes a direct hit, you die. It's very awkward to control. Even though a bigger ooze is safer, you get hit so easily and end up tiny again anyway.

What about those "anti-games"? Like Takeshi's Challenge and Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors (more known for its Desert Bus portion).

On the note of Desert Bus, I once watched a full one way run of it. A full 8 hour run.
