Words or phrases you don't use correctly, or have made up?
#1
I've noticed that I say "uphill" and "downhill" backwards. Apparently, when you say something's gone "downhill" it means bad.

I say "It's all downhill from here" when something is getting easier or better. It's easier to walk downhill, than it is to say uphill. But when I say downhill to customers about the rest of my night, they're like "Don't look at life like that. =<" and I'm like "Downhill is a good thing. If my night goes downhill from here, then I'm gonna have a wonderful night."

I also say weird phrases that my girlfriend calls Tannerisms, where I say something like "Meh. I don't care enough to care." or "That movie was so bad it was bad."

While we're on the subject of weird Newtisms, I hold cigarettes wrong. Every time I smoke someone is like "You hold cigarettes funny" and I'm like "I know. I'm not gonna change a damned thing, my friend."

Screw it, this thread is about weird stuff you guys do that no one else does. And your pride in not ever changing it.

I spell favourite and colour with a U. Apparently that's wrong.

I made up a word.

Whenever I'm screwing around I might accuse someone of being "an individual of malintent" and people just roll with it.

I pronounced "vinyl" wrong for the longest time before someone corrected me, so even now I have a tendency to do it.

Can't hold a pencil correctly. When I was 8 I burned the skin off of the ends of two fingers and my thumb on my right hand. (I wasn't a bright kid. I crawled under a running car, grabbed the muffler and proceeded to get my hand stuck. What should have been first/second degree burns worsened due to the time my hand was there.) Due to the scarring, I can barely feel anything with those fingers/thumb. After all the bandaging came off, I started holding my pencils a funky way. I was dropping them all the time the normal way since I couldn't actually feel it in my hand. It drives some people nuts.

I'm usually a stickler for correct pronunciation during speech, but I still do have trouble with deaf and death. Not understanding the difference (clearly), but making those two words sound any different. No one actually dies when you talk to me, they all just lost their hearing.
I do say "daggon" frequently. It's my go to phrase when I'm angry. I have been known to call a bag a "poke". That is simply an accent however; one that city folk don't understand all the time.
I've also been known to repeat people's sentences that had cursing and translate it somewhat more literally (Why don't you go sexual intercourse yourself in the donkey, female dog!?!) It confuses people.

I have an annoying problem where if someone asks me something I'll go "what?" wait 5 seconds then I respond to their answer. Also when I'm angry I tend to yell stupid jokes so people don't take me serious when I'm angry.

I can't pronounce the world "Particularly" at all. Not sure why, it just never sounds right when I say it.

Wait, I'm a bit confused. Are you saying you make up words, or you've made up the word Malintent?

Cause that's a terrorist detection system or something.

Also, you reminded me of the main character from Steins;Gate who always says there is an "organisation" watching him and accusing people of being from the "organisation"

I hold my pencil and pen using three fingers and thumb, instead of the normal way of two fingers and a thumb. I just can't write with it like that, no matter how much I try.

Also, I will forever pronounce Maya as "May-ah" and Mia and "Muh-eye" or Mai like in Mai Valentine in Yu-Gi-Oh (Probably the reason I called her Mai in Phoenix Wright). I was a retarded kid and didn't know how to pronounce names I never saw before and now I see no need to change them when people know who I'm talking about.
