Crossover Games

[Mass Distraction]

We need a thread for all those games rounding up the greatest characters in all of gaming on one disc! These kinds of games are rare treats but oh man do I love them. I just love to see different characters from different franchises interacting with each other.

Games like this that I currently own: MvC3, UMvC3, SFxT, Cross Edge, Trinity Universe, Ehrgeiz, NeoGeo Battle Coliseum and MUGEN (if that counts).

I also like to have extra characters from different games as guest characters, like all the multiple characters from other series you can get in the Disgaea games.

It's sad that Namco x Capcom never made its way out of Japan but I've got my hopes up for Project X Zone, which is basically a sequel for NxC for 3DS. I'm also interested in "Fighters of Capcom" that Capcom trademark a while back. If it's a Capcom mashup fighter, I'm in!

Dissidia Final Fantasy. I loved it. It was awesome to see the Final Fantasy universe all in one game. I was a bit upset cause Dissidia 012 had a short story. SFxT was awesome. Zangief and King but I can't wait for TxSF just because I like Tekken better than Street Fighter.

Oh man, I didn't hear about that. I'm pretty excited to see what that is. I'm hoping that it's a Capcom mashup fighter that plays like MvC3. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope this shows up at E3 this year!

I LOVE cross over games, especially fighting ones, but the only ones I own are the Smash Brothers series.

the first Marvel vs Capcom is still my jam. was a killer app when it ported to Dreamcast.

if you guys are mentioning Smash Bros and Dissidia, then i'm sure Kingdom Hearts series is a great one.

Playstation All Stars is a really good game. Gameplay is amazing but the story is suckish. I don't like the online community. You can't go without seeing that your opponents are either Kratos or Raiden.

Playstation All Stars is a really good game. Gameplay is amazing but the story is suckish. I don't like the online community. You can't go without seeing that your opponents are either Kratos or Raiden.

Yeah I saw the tier list and Kratos is right up there. However the recent balance patch gave him a few nerfs. I played Dante but never bothered to redeem my online pass because I have a small scene near me. I'd say it's technically(mechanics) better than Smash Bros but I prefer the character roster of Smash Bros.

The only reason I doubt I'll ever go back to Sony All-stars is the insane amount of balance patches they keep bringing out. It's on the level of a joke. 5 or so balance patches since and including the Beta.

I actually agree. There are too many balance updates where they nerf characters who don't need to get nerfed at all. Sackboy has gone from a amazing character to a character who is now really hard to use. Also when they nerf a good character for example Kratos,Raiden or Nathan Drake it's nothing big just really small things I doubt majority of people will notice.

Yeah exactly. It's bullshit. I HATE that Capcom level of mentality. "Oh the playerbase are complaining, better nerf it". That's what I love about Tekken, they give you game and tell you to get better. No nerfs, just get better. With Capcom games or companies like NetherRealm Studios and Super Bot, they listen to the crap players and balance everything. I never want to play All-stars again because of these changes. You pick Sackboy and can never keep track or improve your game. It's stupid. Apparently Nathan Drake is still high ranking and only improving.
