This is a reference to the character Daryl Dixon from the TV Show The Walking Dead. Both How to Survive and The Walking Dead feature zombies, and Daryl's weapon of choice is a crossbow.

This is a reference to the character Daryl from the Comic Book/Tv Show The Walking Dead in which he uses a crossbow.

Daryl is not a character in the comics. Thought I'd point that out. Otherwise this seems pretty legit.

Yeah, Frank Darabont created Daryl specifically for the show and he has never been in the comics. Still a great reference though. Good find!
