The Free Gaming Thread v2 : Electric Boogaloo
For anyone who plays video games, especially the PS4, I just got done playing about 3 1/2 hrs of Destiny Beta and all I can say is that is a fun game. It isn't even the full build and it is still fun. Co-op or going on your own you are gonna have a ton of fun playing that game.

Story is great and compelling, plus Tyrion Lannister himself Peter Dinklage plays the voice of Ghost your companion robot that helps you and narrates the story for you along your journey.....WHY ISN'T IT SEPTEMBER YET!?

Only thing I didn't like was the VS matches. Unless you are a super player who eats, sleeps, and breathes kicking other lesser players asses then stay the hell away from this thing. I was only two levels below some of my opponents but that was enough to allow them to kick my ass into 6 kinds of Wednesdays.

I know what you are thinking too, 6 kinds of Wednesdays? That is a lot of Wednesdays.
Minecraft splitscreen with 3 people is a lot of fun, definitely the most fun I've had with Minecraft in a long time.

What happens if one of you dies and respawns ? Do you have to try and guess where they are, or do they reappear next to you ?

Nobody died until after we had beds, so they just respawned where they slept. And I of course never died, what do I look like a a scrub?

There's a predefined spawn point.
This is weird. I just got into a free-to-play game.

It's called Deadman's Cross, if you were wondering.
So, I just played and beat a game laying on my stomach, not looking at the screen without my hands or feet but instead used my nose and upper lip to hold the D pad and hit buttons.

Ok, so it was Barney's Hide and Seek Adventure for the Genesis and it consists of holding right on the D pad for two levels and left for two levels and clicking the A button twice, BUT I DID IT WITH MY NOSE, PEOPLE. STAND IN AWE OF ME! Or don't, whatever you choose.
Be careful with your mods folks. I was playing Fallout New Vegas, and had gotten the quest to loot the gun runners for schematics, but one mod I have includes a bit of a "display" for the weapons included in it. Well, as it turns out, these high-poly, uber textured models for the weapons don't really cause me any trouble individually, but when every single one is loaded in a custom environment with no navmeshing, it can be pretty intensive. So, I looked realized my computer was having trouble when it crashed the game and kicked up the fans, got back on to a save literally moments before hand, went to the vendor in there, got out and got off. The fans are still roaring as I type this, but they're slowly calming down.
Found a fair priced 360 internet adapter on eBay. It finally came so I hope I can get it to work.

I almost flipped my shit when the instructions said something about an additional cord I'd need, but it ends up that I don't. Christ, it's a way bigger pain getting hooked up to the internet with this thing than it was with the Wii. They make you go through a bunch of security crap and updates. I had to give them my phone number so they'd give me a code! Then I panicked since my memory is terrible, and I didn't have pen or paper, but it was only four digits.

Didn't buy anything yet, just wanted to make sure it would work since I'd heard it didn't always work the best for people. I actually think I'll buy the Banjo-Kazooie bundle first since it's the same price as Skull Girls. I downloaded the trial for Skull Girls, but got super pissed at the slow load times. It better not be like that for the full version.

Can't wait to see what extra content I can get for the games I do have. I also have a code that will hopefully still work with Killer is Dead that unlocks a special pair of glasses early to make those silly dates easier. Don't care much about the soft core porn scenes, but I want those items the ladies give you.
It took me many hours, but I found all 350 blast shards in inFamous. I've started my hard difficulty playthrough and during that I'm going to clean up the other trophies I have left. Hopefully I'll have this done by Tuesday.
Ah man, Resonance of Fate is pissing me off right now.

Since, I have to level up one of my characters to level 100, but to do so I have to grind in a really annoying place, and it could take hours to do.

I'm so close to beating the final boss, even with my current leveled team, I can get him down to >10000 health, but I always die then.
Sooooo glad I can get the internet on my 360! The Rayman Legends challenges are super fun!
Its 1:12 AM. I spent 4 hours in a scenario on Civilization where I just ended turn on the last 20 or so turns because I had more than a 2000 point advantage. It was that one where you play as either Americans or Europeans when America was discovered. I was England, took over Europe, then everything else.
I spent most of last evening/night playing GTAIV online. I swear, most of that time was spent messing with the Devil's Swing.
Just spent the last two hours leveling up Zephyr from Level 77 or so to Level 105.

I think it was worth the time.
