How are the images on the site hosted?

I've still got the pictures I took when submitting a few things to World of Warcraft on my imgur account and was wondering if I needed to warn in advance if I plan on deleting them, mainly because I'm running low on space and trying to organize a bit.

Just to be clear though, that only applies to actual submissions. Anything linked in comments or on the forum to an external site is not stored on our server.
