iPad: Good Apps/Games?
#1
I got the brand new iPad Air from my school for classes, but they said you can also use it for personal purposes.
Any good games/apps?
Also, is there way to download emulators without risking jail breaking?

We can't really discuss emulators around here man.

I wish I could give you a list of games but I use Android.

That being said, if Plague Inc. is on iOS, I would recommend it.

We can definitely discuss emulators around here... They're legal applications. Downloading roms from the internet, however, is illegal.

However, saying that, you cannot run emulators on an iPad without jailbreaking it.

If you're up for buying games (lol) you should get the Ace Attorney Trilogy and Ghost Trick from the App store.

False.

I haven't personally tested these and the install process is a little bit complicated but I've heard good things from those who have. Like Dazz said, the applications are fine, the ROMs are illegal though so you're on your own in terms of acquiring content for these emulators and I am obligated to say that you should not do so unless you legally own the content in question.

Edit: Okay, so it seems that the actual emulators are missing at the moment. This "Store" app is new though so I imagine they'll be back. I have heard good things about this though: http://www.gba4iosapp.com

My school does the same thing for us. Anyway, Brave Frontier would probably have to be my favorite game for mobile devices. You can get it on both IOS and Android.

First of all, get iCade.

There are multiple versions of it so you should find one that fits the iPad you have.

Next, download everything you can for it. It'll be worth your time and money. Electro Master is a good free one. Not free-to-play with microtransactions, free as in completely free. Here's the full list of games supported by iCade: http://www.ionaudio.com/products/icade-games

I'm partial to shmups but whatever floats your boat.

Now, being me, I will recommend mobile horror games for the iOS: Resident Evil Degeneration, Resident Evil Mercenaries VS (if you don't have a 3DS) and Silent Hill: The Escape. Resident Evil 4 is also available for iOS but since it's available for pretty much everything under the Sun there's no reason to get a mobile version of it.

Continuing with that theme, get Deadman's Cross. It's a free-to-play zombie-centric card game from Square Enix and a reeeeeeally good one. I'm over level 30 now and haven't used a penny on it. It's a good time waster. Highly recommended. If you're not into zombies (what's wrong with you?), there's Guardian Cross, which is basically the same but in a fantasy setting. I hear Hearthstone is also good with the whole mobile card game thing.

Speaking of Square, if you like RPGs a lot of great Final Fantasy titles are available for iOS. If you want I can give you a full list of those.

I know it's an obvious pick, but the original Plants vs. Zombies is fantastic.

Corpse Party was recently ported to the iOS. If you haven't played it already, GET IT NOW.

The apps for those aren't compatible? Wow. Damn Apple.

I mean, you would think they are. Just checked online, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, the sequel, is also available for iOS.

Checked iTunes. It's iPad compatible. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/corpse-p...88656?mt=8

Woah! $22 for an iPad game?! Really?

Well it is a full game that actually takes hours to beat with tons of different endings. It's a straight port from the PSP version.
