So, in this thread, we talk about great free games that you can play. Find a good one, put it in this thread. I can't believe I haven't found a thread for this already. However, I am going to lay down some law here:
No emulation or rom talk. Yes, technically it's free... and illegal. This is not the site for that sort of thing.
Now, with that disclaimer out of the way, I'll give you three of of my favorite free games with their download links.
Elsword:
A 2.5D Side-Scrolling Action MMORPG. Also, there are quite a few characters and unique classes to customize. A word of advice, don't start as Chung. They buffed everyone except him. But, you can create your own moveset to find your own juggling combos, ect. There is a story, but that doesn't really matter. Leveling feels solid, but a bit too grindy at times. It's well worth it though. Note, there is pay to play, but it only increases how fast you level, and only for a very short time. So in short, if you do PvP, you won't be destroyed by someone who paid to get buffs; you'll play a character the same level as you. So, in short, the paying user get almost the exact same experience as the one playing for free, and you can enjoy all features (except some stupid costumes) without paying a penny.

Street Fighter x Mega Man:
A extremely difficult classic Mega Man game. And by that I mean it plays just like the classic Mega Man games. And you don't fight robot masters, the bosses are all Street Fighter characters. It's super fun and super nostalgic. It was a fan creation that Capcom branded as Mega Man's 25th anniversary present. While that's not a good move by Capcom, the game is still free and still a blast to play. Make sure to get the v2 version as it now has a password system and fixes some bugs.

Nitronic Rush:
A survival racing game. No, that's what the game is branded as. It's very fast paced and obstacles are constantly thrown at you. Hence it being called survival racing. The controls are tight and respond well, it's difficult by good design and not cheap gimmicks and it's just flat out fun to play. Prepare yourself for a real challenge. Note that the game plays best with an Xbox 360 controller (and no other controller), but keyboard works all right too.
