Forum Upgrade General Thread
#31
I just noticed that this new site allows for 15 posts on a single page, when it used to be 10. That's another point for the new layout.

The amount of threads a user has done being visible is also an interesting change. Finding these little things is like an easter egg hunt for me.

I like the new changes. I prefer how the users information was on the left followed by the message as it meant for less scrolling on the web page but eh. Nothing that's causing a problem really.
Good stuff. :)

That being said, my avatar fails

Edit: Classic mode is hype! Thanks!

I chose to go to the classic layout, because the icons are better on the side instead of in between, but now ALL of my wedding photos are broken links. I was going to post more but i'm not going to bother until I know what's going on.

HALP.

If you changed any of your options from the mobile skin, it turned off your ability to see inline images and videos. Just go into Edit Options again from the desktop version and check the two boxes under the classic option to get them back.

Actually, I can give some more insight.

The new software is a real bugger when it comes to posting images now. Where before, say, a photo at "http://www.totallyrealhost.com/test.jpg&targer=478123$user=159153" would have worked, it won't now. Instead, the image has to end in an actual image format and be a direct image link.

Why this is irritating is specifically for the reason of posts like your wedding photos... Facebook. Facebook adds fluff to the end of an image's URL. Sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't... and I have no idea why it does or doesn't.

I'm looking into a means of fixing this, but I'm not holding out much hope.

Ah, that would do it. I didn't actually look at the thread in question - I just assumed it was the same irritating bug caused by the mobile skin that's been popping up recently. I'll also look into some way of dealing with these images but since it's a core forum feature, I'm not entirely sure there's anything we can do.

Everything is still checked. I never unchecked anything. And I rarely use the mobile version.

I hope you can fix this. This is awful :(

The spoiler tags are now working but I have trouble opening them. Clicking on the tags does nothing nor does the little white button on them.

We're working to fix that.

Is it just me, or did the Calender go missing during the update?

Can we change the name of this? I keep getting on thinking there's an update tomorrow.

Done. I'm actually always surprised when I see it and it's my own thread (not to mention that I think I would know about any pending upgrades) so I can appreciate the desire for this change.
