Shameless Self Promotion
I would like to apologize if I seemed too harsh also. Hopefully we'll see some more from you in the future in other threads, because I would love it. So whenever you do have the time just look through the list of discussion topics and find something you would like to discuss or just make a topic you want to discuss. Thanks for actually trying to discuss this with us.
This is a series I'm pretty proud of. It's called Good Game Design, and it looks at different principles of games that make them great. I want people watching this to think critically, and analyze why we like certain games. This is the first episode.

So far, you have made 5 posts on the forums.  4 of this are directly related to your show.  I'll make a guess that the posts involving promoting myself aren't as many as my posts proving trivia evidence.  Not only that, I reguarly post in other sections too, adding to conversation.
Point is, video posting isn't bad in and of itself.  However, this site is still primarily about video game trivia, not "watch my videos".  We want you to contribute in that respect.  If you do that, we won't mind you posting videos of yourself either.  But you can't simply post your videos without contributing in any other way.
I'm sorry if this is confusing or coming across as too harsh.

In a nutshell. My personal beef is that we have people who are trying to become the next big thing on YouTube and then spamming their videos. I've seen this on plenty of forums where people leave posts promoting themselves and expect the rest of the forum to watch. What's worse are people who have plenty of views already still wanting more attention.

I understand the point of the Shameless Self Promotion is about Shamelessly Promoting yourself, but not in the manner of "I've just joined now watch my video" with no other activity on the forum.

The old forum (DYKG) had this problem on a much larger scale. Like I said, this isn't single you out, but I'm personally stopping these types of posts now.

The only way I can think of getting around this, is that you only allowed to post here after 10 posts. If I find you spamming to get up to 10 posts, then they'll be removed. If you post in this thread without hitting 10 posts(basically signing up for the YouTube views) then you'll have that Shameless Promotion video removed.

Just an idea. Obviously I'm not enforcing this until everyone agrees. I don't think this forum should have to put up with this.
I agree with these rules.
I agree 100% with this BumblebeeCody. It's seriously an annoying problem that should be dealt with.
10 seems like a good benchmark. I stand by it. Also make it clear in the account creation screen, so everyone will technically see it at least have a chance to read the rule.
I like the idea of a 10 post minimum, and I also like the idea of making that clear somewhere during account creation. It feels like it would get rid of a lot of confusion.

Just logging in to say I thought this was alright. I honestly thought you gonna spend 5 minutes talking about nothing really and have nothing but bad jokes; but as someone who also really likes Völgarr the Viking I can say I very much agree with everything you said. (Though to be fair, only the first three levels follow the Green>Blue>Red enemy placement. Level 4 doesn't follow this at all and level 5 starts with a Blue Sky Knight instead of a green one.)

The first 3 levels do a good job of that though to introduce you to the game. If you make it to the 4th level you can handle it switching up a bit :) good call man!
I find the Ganondorf Campaign in Hyrule Warriors surprisingly awesome and disappointingly short. It adds layers to the game I wasn't even expecting. I have beaten the story campaign have play the section over and over. Ganon plays like a combination between Nobunaga from Samurai Warriors and Lu Bu from Dynasty Warriors (both of which play super well). These idea needs it own game.
DrakeVagabond, please do not start a new thread to promote any of your videos. Please put them in this thread or I'll just delete them next time. Thanks.
I always thought that a Ganondorf spin-off has so much potential and from your videos( Quality is good, 1+ for not having a habit of screaming and quite informational but too talkative) The Ganondorf campaign looks hella fun.

Also dat Ganondorf thumbnail img got me rolling.
So I found out the Wii U can take the HD cables I have for the Wii which means I can record direct capture:
Obviously combo fun with Bayonetta 2

Main point though is that once Smash 4 comes out for Wii U, we could get some games from this forum recorded and upload them :)
Happy Halloween! Here's a review of a game I've been meaning to play. My only surprise was how low of a score I gave it once I began reviewing and really thinking about it. Cheers! & check out the other spooky scary Resident Evil vids in the annotations at the end!
