Top 5 Card cameos/references
#1
I forgot if I had suggested this one to Dazz or not so if I did, feel free to remove this, but I digress.

Since these are fine in this area for discussion purposes, know any card game cards that reference something else?

I've got a few off hand.

Vampire Hunter

The Belmont Family encapsulated in a card that specializes in killing dark monsters, like vampires.

Tactical Espionage Expert

Metal Gear Solid's own Solid Snake is here to stop your opponent from unleashing metalmorph!

Itsu : Aitsu Doitsu Koitsu Soitsu

These guys are actually really nice because they're an archetype, as in they're designed to work together and are themed to do so. They're from Sexy Parodius, and they make a lot of appearances in other cards' art as well.

Getsu Fūma Den :

This series actually has two monsters, the main protagonist, and the final boss.
Getsu Fuhma, and Ryu Kokki

Goemon :

The Goemon cards are very interesting actually. They fit into an archetype referred to as "ninja" which does not only consist of them. The cards themselves are actually a more realistic re-imagining of each character, opting out of the traditional cartoon style the Goemon series is known for.

Anyone who plays Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Hearthstone, Cardfight Vanguard, Pokemon, munchkin, etc. know any other cards that reference games?

I think the issue with this list is that we'd struggle to make a video out of it. We need to aim for a 5-minute timeline, and this would likely be 2-3 at best.

Well, if we can find some more references, could it be more than 5?

We could try that! :)

Alright. Now, personally, I've played Yu-Gi-Oh! and a decent amount of Hearthstone. If anyone else has played other card games, your insight would be greatly appreciated.

Just continuing this.

Dr. Boom in Hearthstone, though present in World of Warcraft as well is ultimately a reference to Doctor Doom from The Fantastic Four and is included on the basis that it is now more notable as a card.

Power Overwhelming - The card power overwhelming is a reference to another title owned by Blizzard, Starcraft 1 where this phrase was uttered by the Protoss Archon.

Hearthstone has found its way into WoW. Can anyone with the current expansion confirm if this was just beta?

There are a ton of Konami references in Yugioh aside from the ones mentioned: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Cards_based...ideo_games Mostly from their space/air shooters.

Do Raid Leader's references count as video game references btw? I mean, the meme was about someone screaming while playing WoW, not WoW it's self.

There's something off about this but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Here is the normal card. Golden are animated, and all are edited to fit the purpose of the game.

Well, a company reacting to what its fanbase has immortalized in the form of a card in its card game seems like a big enough deal. References to other media in games are always nice to point out.

Xexex:

Nanobreaker:

Space Manbow:

Most of the other cards referenced in Yu-Gi-Oh! are either speculation or Gradius cards. I probably missed a few.

Must have been the edits then. I think it's the lighting on the model specifically that they changed.

I don't think Nanobreaker is a reference to Jake BTW. The card name is one word, the monster is female and has pinkish armor and her weapon isn't even the same, and it's only assumed she's a cyborg based on her appearance (which really rubs me the wrong way).

It was more or less confirmed that it is since Nanobreaker's deck in 2010's world championship game which is based off of Konami games has Nanobreakers being in it.

Well it could still be a reference to Nano Breaker, but not Jake. The goemon monster cards bear better resemblance to the Goemon characters than the monster in the Nanobreaker art does to Jake.

That's all I was saying though.
