What are good songs for the morning?
#1
For the past few weeks, I've been casually adding songs into a playlist that I blast with my IHome speaker in the morning for people, kind of as a personal early morning radio service. Its been well received, but I don't always have the time to update it and some songs get stale.

Cinco Morning

(I don't know if this link will work or not, but I digress)

We're a bunch of high schoolers, but the genres are pretty broad. If you have any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate them. I'm not much of a music person, but this has led me to develop a bit of a taste for it.

I'll take a gander through what's on my MP3 player for some peppy fun stuff. My main taste is oldies, but I'll only list the ones that I don't think would be deemed too out dated.

I just want to point out that this is a thing...

I'm internally debating whether or not to include this "mardi gras baby"

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I more than tripled the list last night and I used some of the suggestions. Can we get all the videos on this thread in spoilers for load times?

Hex, I may have a solution for spoilers. Go into edit post, find everything past the part that says [h r] (no space between the h and r) and copy or cut it. Delete [h r] (it creates the line between two posts in the same section) and put all the stuff (what's left) in the first part in a spoiler. Post it. Then, in post reply, paste what you copied, put it all in a spoiler and post.

What kind of music are you looking for?

If you're looking for comfy instrumentals, try Nujabes

Some of my favourites.

Feather
Horzon
World without words
Psychological Counterpoint
Aruarian dance

And check out my Comfy video game playlist if you get some time.

If you're looking for some nice beats, somewhat fast paced or intense try the Jet Set Radio + Jet Set Radio Future soundtrack.

Some of my favourites.

Fly like a butterfly
Funky Dealer
Statement of Intent
Oldies but Happies
Like this, Like that
Up Set Attack
'Bout the city
Rock it on
Yappie Feet
On the Bowl

Also, a good selection of music to check out for that sort of 80's/90's rock, metal, rap, hip hop and such Tony Hawk OST's are pretty good.

Hope you choose something here. I URL'd them since I didn't want the thread to take 5ever to load.

While we're at it, throw in the Psychosocial Baby mash-up.
