Kinect is no longer needed with the Xbox One, and won't be bundled with any other Xbox One.

You guys still think it's cool to hate it?

Yes just like how it's cool to wear your cap backwards. [Image: fyhMukh.gif] Console Warriors!! (Real answer: Who cares anymore.)

I agree. For the first time in my life, I really don't like any of the current gen consoles. I think the review I saw was right saying that all of them are missing that wow factor that the rest of them had. I really don't care what they do anymore.

Also, we all know that they are doing this to back peddle their way into gamers' living rooms. They have been doing this since the thing was announced, so what makes this different?

That's coming back in fashion you know.

I see people do it all the time for some reason.

My point exactly. *Turns Xbone cap backwards*
I might be in the minority, but I pretty much exclusively play video games on consoles. That being said though, I have absolutely zero interest in the Xbone.
With the lowered price point, I feel like it can be a pretty good competitor to PS4 now. It seems like it could be something that I'll get in a few years for some cool exclusives, like Sunset Overdrive. Now that game looks cool.
I stick with Playstation mostly because that is what I've played on for the longest time. It has all my favorite games on there and series so why change over. Xbox keeps making mostly the same games over and over again with Call of Duty, Halo and Gears of War. They are all the same type of shooting game that doesn't give me anything new. In 2 weeks I've gone from RPGs, to shooting game to action adventure games. All of that on one system. Hell I've even played some platforming game with Castle of Illusion, I get free games to play with my PS+ account as well as discounts.

So far Xbox hasn't shown me anything the PS can't do or do better. I'm not saying it's a bad console, but nothing it has shows me I should invest in it over the Playstation. Multiplayer set up is all I've ever heard why Xbox is better. Games are the same type you see on the PS, so why should I invest extra money into a different console system outside of what I normally play on?

I own an Xbox One and think the hate is justified.

Wii U is a brick that shouldn't have been released that early.
PS4 has no games
Xbox One has some few good games but is a terrible console overall.
Easily the worst generation of consoles that's really set the industry back and put it in a huge mess. No games, no support, consoles not selling as well as they should etc etc.

Funny you mention that consider what Microsoft also yesterday announced that:
http://www.gamespot.com/articles/microso...0-6419590/

Not only that but games are now coming free to Xbox One with a few games already mentioned. Xbox Have been doing this for two years now which to me, make Xbox Gold well worth the money over PS+. If you're not a subscriber on PS+ you lose access to your games, with Gold, you only need to sign up for the month that you want Gold, then you can revert back to silver with your games still accessible. Gold over the last 2 years (This week especially) has seen it's value go up.

That being said they took their fucking time.
^^ Yeah but the Playstation and Wii have been able use those services for free for a long time now. PS+ isn't required for it on the PS4 either.

I do hate the fact that the games I got for free off PS+ won't work if I don't keep my subscription but I got a year subscription for $50 which isn't that bad of a deal if you don't have to keep up a monthly thing if you can pay a year in advance.

Pros and cons to everything.
I think the WiiU is fine as a device that plays Nintendo games, but as an actual console that will play third-party games, then it's just nothing.

So far the PS4 really only has inFamous and Resogun going for it, no other exclusive has really hit it for me. Keep in mind that it has only been 6 months, there will probably be a lot more coming out in the Fall, hopefully with stuff being announced at E3.

If I'm not mistaken, both Microsoft and Sony are actually making a small profit for each console sale. That, to me, means that neither of them really tried to push the console's power, but instead did something weaker, safer, and profitable. Who knows what could have happened if the PS4 and Xbox one had better GPUs or CPUs, with Sony/Microsoft taking a hit with profits. I feel like this will be relatively short generation of consoles.

Yes because that's obviously the only thing that was wrong with it. /sarcasm

Actually Sony is still selling each console at a loss. The fact that they sold out repeatedly on the console is a good sign of a healthy company and their faith in their product plus they felt that customers buying the system will buy other things to supplement the loss like games, PS+ subscription and maybe extra peripherals .

The only good Wii U games to come out last year was Wonderful 101 and Super Mario 3D World. The sad thing is Wonderful 101 only sold 30 000 copies (6000 in Japan alone).

Eh, Sony has been hemorrhaging money for a while, I don't think they've made a profit off the PS3 yet, and the Vita is literally a thorn in their side, the PS4 is selling well, but I'll assume it'll stagnate by 2015 or so unless the games are there.

I mean no one wants the Wii U, nor the Xbone and the PS4 is their only option but it seems as if they've come to a point where even the casuals don't want to buy a console because they're all crap.

I don't remember much of the switch between the 6th gen to the 7th, but I do remember the 360 and Wii having tons of games, and getting loads of sales (albeit the Wii got the sales from the gimmick) while the PS3 stagnated until 2008/9 or so due to having nogaems.

I still wonder if the Xbone will become like the Saturn, they fail in the west, focus on Japan and fail in both areas and then speed up the 8th gen.

That would be pretty good imo, Nintendo and Sony could get a fresh start in a new gen, Microsoft could give it their last chance too.
