It's just frustrating. Of course, this happened on Facebook. One of my friends was looking to get an Xbox 360, the only thing was that she didn't know what to get exactly. She said that she has always loved playstation, but that the ps3 didn't have games that interested her. So, she posted the spring bundle and asked if that was a good deal (comes with Darksiders II and Batman: Arkham City) and I said yes!
Then her cousin comes in, pretty much a day later (today, clearly) and says get a PS3 since it has free online and has blu-ray. She stated before that she's not into online playing, she just wants to play games by herself.

Sony seems to be giving more support for Indie games with the PS4. That's really cool, a great move on their part. Maybe they won't end up denying something like Super Meat Boy again.

All fanboys in my opinion are silly and to be honest a bit childish.
From what I've seen in other places Nintendo fanboys downplay Sega stuff, Sony fanboys downplay Nintendo stuff, Xbox 360 fanboys (and some sore Sega fans too) downplay Sony (and Nintendo) stuff and PC/Steam fanboys downplay all consoles. There, I said it.

Huh? Apart from the 1st party exclusives (MS: Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Fable, Project Gotham Racing, Kinect stuff; Sony: Uncharted, God of War, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, Gran Turismo, Move stuff), some online games (XBLA/PSN) and that the 360 had an extra year of games [e.g. Dead Rising, Burnout Revenge, Test Drive Unlimited] but the PS3 has more Japanese support, I thought the 360 and the PS3 had a lot of the same games between the two especially in terms of Western developers with the only differences is that many games are better on the 360 (Bayonetta being miles better on the 360 due to a botched port on the PS3 that was developed by Sega/Nextech, okay that was an extreme point but most of the time it is slightly better framerate on the 360) and some games are better on the PS3 (usually if it is the lead platform or take advantage of the blu-ray space).
Personally I think the 360 and PS3 are equal to each other both having their strengths and weaknesses and really it is personal preference which of the two to get, if she gets the 360 it completely understandable why she decided to get it.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter which console your friend gets providing she is enjoying it. If she's not into HD movies, then the blu-ray advantage wouldn't mean much to her and the free online is really if you either download or play online a bit (if her console isn't connected to the Internet then XBLA/PSN is meaningless). It's hard being neutral online, it really is...

I really want Phantom Pain, but I still have 4 games to go to catch up. I just need the MGS HD collection and then MGS4 and I'll be good.

Finally pre-ordering a game actually worked out! The game came for the release date and just before easter holidays. It was Army of Two: Devil's Cartel. Now I'll just need to drag my friend here so we can blaze through it.
For now on I'm pre-ordering all my games from GameHouse.

Have you played MGS (PSX)? It's not in the HD collection and you won't be able to notice a lot of references the saga makes to it (most in MGS4). And it's probably the best one.

Yeah especially if you're going to play Phantom Pain you need to play Peace Walker all the way to the second ending.
