Anthony Burch, writer for Borderlands, is colorblind. This is possibly why he made the character Mordecai colorblind in Borderlands.

Wait, I thought he started writing on the second Borderlands, when Mordecai was from the first.

The profile was added to the Borderlands 2 site, so he added it as a character trait.
