Sad

This broke out more faster than the parasites from Resident Evil 4. Konami has revealed that Silent Hills has been cancelled. I was looking forward to this game.

Pretty interesting video on it by SBH.

It sucks but you could kinda see it coming.

Yeah, I gotta play P.T. before they get rid of it, thanks for reminding me.

Not sure if I should be happy or sad that I started the Silent Hill series just to play Silent Hills.

Well this is unfortunate. Seems like Konami's gonna keep up with the mobile market now, it seems.

You have no idea how bad this hurts me. I'm genuinely sad right now.

I totally saw this coming when I heard Kojima was leaving. It's like Mega Man Legends 3, but with a good company and not as much bad blood and I don't really care about Silent Hill.

Don't care. Konami is killing itself and if this is how it wants to do it, fine by me. The quicker Konami goes away, the better. I wouldn't be surprised if Kojima and Del Toro decided to work on their own project some time in the future.

I don't even like Silent Hill all that much, and that's still disappointing.

Without any delay, some fans of Silent Hills have made a petition to tell Konami to bring the game back into development.

I'm not holding my breathe on this pulling a miracle.

That petition is less than 1,800 signatures away from reaching it's goal, but I doubt that's gonna matter much. Even after it reaches it's goal, several hundred thousand more would likely be needed in order to convince anyone of anything. Considering the game would have been triple A, 75,000 people wouldn't mean jack if there was any business sense going into this. The goal would have been to sell millions, by comparison, that's nothing.

^Like I said. I'm not holding my breathe on this pulling a miracle. Its going to need a shitload more of signatures in order for this to work. Honestly. If you're looking at this at a business way, it could be successful(if it got made) but there will be a few downsides to it.
